NST June 2025: balance

NST June 2025: Balance
June’s challenge is going to be a simple one. Balance.
1) Seek balance in your life. Energy out v energy in. The work/life balance. The ‘happy medium’ is different for each one of us. Seek your own balance and enjoy living. I like to break it down to Health, Wealth and A Life Well-Lived , to ponder the balance I have in each area.
2) Physical balance. How long can you balance on one leg? I tried this the other day and was astonished at how much I wobbled! Aim to move a little bit more this month and strengthen the balancing muscles.
3) Balance the books/budget. If you are joining the challenge because your books are always in the red, then we are here to help you get them in the black. You may not spend more than you have coming in, but it’s always worth taking a step back and looking at your spending habits – the needs of food, shelter and utilities; the impulsive buys; the measured buys…
The non-negotiables:
-the challenge runs for all of June 2025
-15 NSDs please
-have a budget and stick to it
-allow yourself a fixed amount of treats
-be kind, be generous, have fun
-comment each day and tell us what you are up to and what you are grateful for
Who is with me on the balance beam of life?

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy5 -

I am so ready for June to begin - the Summer Reading program I work with starts on the 2nd, my first class starts on the 5th (Knitting and crocheting), and my roommate G goes into rehab - hopefully on the 2nd (vodka is the problem). I am thankful for having the paramedics come so quickly when G fell yesterday and couldn't get back up (in his room), for finally getting my provider number for caring for my roommate D (I can start getting paid back to Nov), and for curtains that really do keep out most of the heat. May be up to 30C outside today - then going down all week - hurrah. All three cats have taken over my bed because roommate D bought herself a strong fan yesterday and the effect carries over into my room. No way can I go in and rest today.
So can you put me down and I will hope for the best this month.7 -
Thank you so much for this apple. I would like to join with the caveat that I struggle to stand on 2 legs.5

Pinch, punch! And we're off!Take a few moments today to ponder the month ahead and look at your commitments. Are you overcommitted? Is there anything you can drop out of? Or if not, what can you do to not feel overwhelmed by it all?NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6
