Funny you should suggest that i just messing around with a couple of ideas and tried it from Dialwise 4p- 07744-Intl no and it worked.Although a lot of of countries you get cheaper when dialling direct.Did you have a particular country in mind you wanted to dial using this method.PF.0 -

Yeah it was pakistan i had in mind, missus was over there on holiday so wanted to keep my daily call cost to a minimum, no doubt those savings i make here will pay for her clothes spend there...
Thanks for this... works pretty good, apart from the fact i had to dial 3 numbers it was pretty clear line, a little echo on my voice but at 4p per min vs 7/8p per min i cant complain.ummm...0 -
Has anyone managed to get AbroadTel to work for mobiles (see last Bulletin). I use the access code, get through put in the mobile number and get a mesage saying that the number is not answering - any ideas?

Did you dial it in Intl Format deleting the O EG. 00447812xxxxxx.
If so perhaps the phone you were calling was out of range. Its worked for me many times. But i am now using the https://www.dialwise.co.uk
0844 428 46 46 (4p a minute no),and its easier to dial through cos you dont have to put it in intl format.PF.0 -
Looks like Abroadtel have screened out the non-geos from their landline service. 1p per min was too good to be true. I have called an 0870 and a couple of 0845s this week. Up to yesterday everything was fine but today they "cannot connect you" to 0845s.
So if I can't find the geo equivalent, it's back to 1899.com during weekdays for non-Geos (NTL's own rates are cheaper off-peak)0 -
