  • Ok - I'm being a complete dimwit again!  Have downloaded N180 form off gov.uk and completed with Adobe.  With reference to the signature box - can I just type my name in?  I can't seem to get it to show an e-signature.
OR do I have to download the form, handsign it, then scan back to attach on to email?
Have searched and searched for an answer but to no avail

  • I was becoming concerned that my submitted N180 directions questionaire was not showing as filed on my MCOL account.  The DQ was submitted and automated acknowledge response received on the 20th October from both CNBC and DCB Legal.  When checking my MCOL account I noted their was no record of it having been filed.  The final date for submission was 24 October
Getting concerned, I checked recent posts and saw that there were several similar ones regarding this.  Following advice given on one to re submit and keep on resubmitting, making a note of dates and acknowledgement dates.  A pain in the backside but finally today it is now showing up as filed 04 Nov 2025.  Hopefully there is no detrimental effect of the late filing.  At least I have records of original submission.

The moral is check, check and keep looking at recent post - thanks to all those hard at work replying to our posts

  • Constantly scanning latest posts - gets obssesive!  I bookmark pages/posts but still manage to loose possible relevant ones - 1 of the latest being regarding signature on N1SDT claim Form  DCB Legal

Statement of Truth on Claim form signed by SE (Claimant's Legal Representative as defined by CPR 2.3(1))
I'm expecting arrangements for a mediation call in near future.  Should a call take place - is there anything that I should ask the mediator to clarfiy from the defendant's representative, before the mediation continues eg name, legal qualification?  I will be keeping call as brief as possible and will not be maying any offer of settlement. Single ticket claim.  Is it advisable to record the call, if so do I need to make the mediator aware of this?

    Many thanks

I believe that doubledotcom has posted about this preliminary matters on mediator phone calls

    SE is not qualified

I don't believe that you need to record it,  because its only about reaching a monetary settlement figure,  or offering nothing and ending the call
  • Thanks, have found doubledotcom's post and hit out - perfect.  Does notice of allocated mediation call come by email/snailmail?
  • Mediation email arrived today for 30th December
  • Hoping you all had a peaceful Christmas and tanks for all you do.

Just having quick read up to see if any new points on mediation call - due am 30 December 2025.  Had previously read up and made notes at beginning of December but will do a search for any more recent comments.  Am hoping it will be as brief as possible, I don't intend to waste my time!
