  • I gave up and cancelled.
I’ve just got 3 months Disney plus through Tesco Clubcard.

Have any of you already been charged the annual fee and yet still being told by Help you are in the free trial period and can't claim the Disney Plus until you're out of it? I asked for a refund on my last attempt to get the chat people to understand the issue but haven't been given one yet.

An update: I thought I'd check again before I called, and the offer has now appeared in my account. Perhaps it takes a couple of days to validate, or maybe other people's phone calls have prompted them to fix it.

Now to see if the email arrives.

I can see it back in my account as an available offer, but still no sign of any email/code.

MSE has an update saying they’re awaiting confirmation from Uber it’s been withdrawn.
  • I feel a bit peeved at MSE over this. I feel they didn’t do their due diligence on this.

It’s been quite a stressful situation. No money has been taken from my account obviously because I was put on a free trial. However I did put my payment details in. I have cancelled but have no email confirmation so I hope they don’t try and take the money in 4 weeks otherwise I will have to do try and claim it back.

This is poor from MSE and Uber.

Hi Melly0n. Did you get your code yet?

I got an email from Uber with the offer but when I clicked it went to the Uber Eats home page rather than offering me the Disney+ deal.

Support were utterly useless, clearly only reading my last sentence and going to their script to form a reply. They kept telling me they checked my account but said I wasn't eligible as the offer expired, but didn't tell me a) why I'd got the email then, b) why their t&C's said different

I did claim last year so I'm probably within the 14 months. I can now get the offer to appear when logged in now since I just cancelled the renewal, but when clicked it offers me a trial instead, so I'm not confident I'll get a code through.

I sent the email to my wife and if she clicks she gets the offer on the Eats app but it says trial when you click through. It says on hers it expires today, so I'm wondering if it's worth signing up or not then using the cooling off period if no code?

    I wouldn’t bother. It’s clearly a scam
I don’t think anybody had managed to get the ‘offer’.

If Uber were a dodgy local minicab firm then I might agree with you.

Don't think that a company turning over upwards of £3 billion in the UK needs to "scam" people out of a freebie TV subscription.

It's just rubbish admin and poor CS.
