After S&S'ing the kitchen and bathroom today I worked hard on the leaflet that I was designing for church and have come up with what I think is a pretty good draft version. During my coffee break I went outside and mixed half of the soil from the pots that I had emptied yesterday with some of my beautiful home-made compost and added some water. We did have a short sharp shower last night but no sign of it this morning, except a few big drops of water on the hosta leaves. Since lunch, I've been back at my desk for another hour, but the sun is glaring through the roller blind, so I'll go out to the garden again shortly and tackle some more pots before taking Rosie up to the Covert. The paper bags containing the daffodil and tulip bulbs that I have removed are labelled and neatly stowed away in a box, to be planted out in the flowerbeds at a later date. I need to learn to prioritise!
My tomato plants have grown another cm

All jobs on the list achieved, including the HH admin. Washing has been brought in off the line, so there is HHI but that is for another day. Spurred on by Eltee’s mention of 🐸, I went mad and cleaned the big oven. Shelves have soaked, been scrubbed and it is all back in place. Rewarding myself with a cuppa, then I am joining Iona and HB outside, surveying the pots and sorting out some compost.4

Thank you Honey Bear and Fayolle. All the people we've seen at the sleep clinic have been lovely. The person who issued A with the machine was very kind and patient and spent ages ensureing that he had the correct mask (she tried a nasal one first and then a small full-face mask and finally a large full-face) and that it was comfortable, and trying to help him remove the pipe when he struggled with that.He tried the mask for about 5 minutes earlier this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised that it was comfortable, and he couldn't even tell that it was on. Of course as he was awake it was pumping air at its lowest pressure. He then tried every which way to remove to the pipe but was unable to do so. His grip seems to be virtually non-existent these days. He got very irriated and blamed the equipment for not being usable by someone with no grip. I said that we can see if they can do anything when we go back for the follow-up but in the meantime I can do it, even it it means that I have to be woken up, if it's at night. He was very negative about the whole thing though so I'm not sure if he'll persevere but I hope he does, for my sake as well as his own.I don't know where today has gone. After faffing about for a bit this morning and making us a coffee I went to get the paper and to collect a parcel of jam that had been delivered yesterday when we were in, but for some reason they either rang the wrong bell or we didn't hear it, which is surprising as it's pretty loud. I arranged for re-delivery to a shop rather than risk a repeat of yesterday. Fortunately the re-delivery was very quick, although the shop was a drive away. I passed a portuguese bakery so I naughtily bought two portuguese custard tarts. When I got back and opened the box, one of the jars that I had ordered was missing.
I've emailed them so hopefully they will just send another. It's a little company and I spoke to them before placing the order and they were very nice so I don't suppose there will be a problem. We discovered the jam a couple of weeks ago when we went to meet a friend for a coffee and croissant at a hotel in Knightsbridge (she is 86 and forgot to turn up!) They gave is a couple of little pots of jam to have with the pastries and it was so delicious I looked-up the company later and placed an order.
Flying? Lots I should have done but I wasn't in the mood so limited to washing up!Sorry for waffling on as usual.8 -

Well I managed a level one with DW and put the dog wash on, we get through a lot of muddy towels!! Gave yesterdays load a quick tumbel and FUPA.Then got a bit whizzy and cleaned all the lower cabinet doors and drawers, the kitchen cat flap and door, as they were annoying me. Between OH and the dog they get grubby. I'm sure its not normal to have to use a magic sponge on them to get tea splashes off - I know its not me doing it
It always feels satisfying when its done.
Didn't do much in the garden yesterday, we nipped back to the Range to get a few more plants to finish off the hanging baskets. Settled on pelargonium, we have gone pinks, and mauves this year. Theres no plan to it, just whatever was going cheap and looked in nice condition.Managed to do my feet and do my roots so that was a success, these personal things tend to get put off.Its a shame hubby cant undo the mask pipe @Cloth_of_Gold it must be very frustrating for him. If hes getting better oxygen saturation over night he might find other things easier? I did a quick internet search for quick release cpap and came up with quite a few results for "quick connect adapter for CPAP", so obviously a common problem or they wouldn't make them.

Morning all,
The breaking news here is that we had some rain. More drizzle than the forecasted downpours, but steady drizzle for hours I can cope with right now, for the garden’s sake. As it hasn’t made so much as a puddle yet, I think I am being over optimistic.
The plan for this morning is to do some cooking prep in the kitchen. It seems that my meal planning for the week only went up to yesterday. Whoops. So in the plan for this morning is chard/spinach pesto and a spinach and chard frittata. And some pasta to turn some leftovers into salad for lunch. I also have a new dressmaking pattern to figure out the fit of, so I might spend an hour or so upstairs with that. After yesterday’s flying effort, I need to keep the momentum up, so might need a rethink for this afternoon.6 -

DW emptied. WUALTD, pegged out washing some stuff removed form maiden. We've had to cancel today's meeting with undertaker as sis isunwell. I'm feeling sorry for myself because I have a cold - and I've now remembered who I met who had a cold - so thanks to that person.
Deposit for wake paid. Celebrant got back to me; he can't do that date so the undertakers can find me someone.
Fence panel measured as I am going to need new fencing on that side *points* message left with the company to see what the cost might be, really, at this point.
Carpet shop contacted; carpets/flooring are in. So a fitting date must be booked - she's originally called and suggested yesterday but she spoke to me on Friday so I said it's probably not a good time...was right about that..then I'll contact furniture shop re sofas.
