Im the same with cyclamen - trial and error the only place they will colonise to return year after year is under a crown lifted lemon cypress in my garden.

That concrete bit was what the old garage stood on, it runs down the side of the house. Eventual plan is to get it tiled with something like terracotta tiles. A lot of stuff has to happen elsewhere first though…
