Hi can someone help me i would like to know if vodafone can/is aloud to suspended my service because on the 15th April they did this as they wanted me to pay out of plan charges wich was charge to bill service and nothing to do with calls, text or minutes the amount was stated on my bill to be payed on the 17th of may and my April bill was the 17th April so at the time it wasn't due for just over a month is this alright for them to do as it doesn't seem right to me

It sounds like maybe you had an unpaid amount on a previous bill which was outstanding, or not paid in full.  Not sure how this happened?  I thought people generally paid mobile bills in full by direct debit each month.
For mobile I think the best strategy is to use a pre-pay service - I'd recommend Lebara or Smarty.  This way you can't be in a situation with late payments or unexpected charges.

I suspect it rather depends on the amount of the out of plan charges in relation to the usual monthly plan cost.

Couple of quid for picture messages probably OK, £££ of overseas calls or charge-to-phone not so much.

In any case, Vodafone should have given you an opportunity to settle the amount outside the usual billing cycle before suspending your service, did they not do this?

    How much were these "extras"?

It was around £200 in charge to bill service and should be a out of plan charge as it says on there website that out of plan charges refer to calls, text and data and doesn't can anything about add to bill plus surly they can't be suspending my phone for this when it is stated on a bill that still isn't due till the 17th of may they didn't given me the chance to pay my bill on the date it states on the bill on the day it ment to be pay instead they cut me off 19 day before the due date

I know you say that the bill had a due date later in May and this is when Vodafone should have taken payment BUT

did Vodafone give you an opportunity to settle this bill early to avoid cutoff?

I'd be more concerned about the £200 - you still haven't said what it was for - subscription charges I would guess.

When did you take out this subscription, as other have said I think it may have been previously added to your bill and not paid ( not sure why )

What did Vodaphone say when you pointed out to them you have not had any chance to pay this amount?

No apparently they sent a text 2 days before I got cut off wich i didn't get and but surely they can't demand money for a bill that isnt due yet and cut me off when I haven't even been given the chance to pay my bill on the date I'm ment to

What it's for doesn't matter and no iv never miss a payment with them the only time anything extra has been added but not out of plan as it isn't anything to do with calls, text or data and wanting me to pay this 1 month before it was due on the 15th April my April bill wasn't even payed at the time as well as that was due on the 17 on April
