Can I just thank you all for being such a friendly and supportive bunch. I first posted 6 months ago, but someone made such derogatory comments about what I'd said, it put me off posting again. It was only when I came across this group and saw what a nice group you all are that I felt confident enough to try posting again.

Thanks guys and keep up the good work. :T
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

SPL brilliant news congrats to both of you

dont know what has happened with the interest though... could it be something to do with you changing your term (remember you did that before) could it be because you changed something that you are then changing the contract (or something) and therefore pay a different rate?

let me know how it goes im with the same place

Thanks to everyone for the best wishes - will keep you updated !!!

Elantan I will definitely post back with an update as I will call the bank over the next couple of days

It may be linked with changing the term but if so i will be interested to find out why as i have been assured that there are no charges associated with doing this - it has me baffled - Interestingly enough we do have two mortgages with the nationwide (one was a 'further advance' that we needed to take when we moved) and although we changed the term on this one also the daily interest did not change as the main mortgage did

I just know that I will raise a smile for my trusted advisor as I think I am the only person he has on his books who is trying to pay off their mortgage early and takes such a keen (yes - some may say sad ;) ) interest in it .

you never know it may be a mistake and if so will certainly update so veryone else can follow up too

Well Pay day has finally arrived so I'm able to work out just how much I can overpay this Month:

Regular overpayment = £261.59 (amount varies with interest paid)
End of month surplus = £73.87
    Mortgage Bear = £33.42

Which gives a total of £368.88. I'd love to round it up, but my Maternity pay has dropped dramitically this month. Also my mot, car tax and home insurance are all due in April. I've got money saved for those though so hopefully I should be ok.

bellsbells, I've pm'd you, it was my first attempt so hopefully you'll get it!
