they should be around 231 KB maximum!!!!!
I'm on Mac, and I just exported it out of preview. I'll try to see if I can make it smaller somehow on there

Edit - File size reduced from 9.5mb to 2mb. Resent the smaller file size.

I hope that you are downloading the N180 DQ pdf document from the government website,  filling it in and emailing it  ( not assembling a bespoke pdf by adding jpegs to a bespoke pdf file  )

We have had several similar issues recently where people were attaching jpegs or scans, so not logged by the CNBC

Ah, that seems to be the issue, I had scanned the posted copy of the N180. I must have missed the advice not to do that. Apologises.

I'll fill in the digital copy and send that instead.

No problem,  your method may work, BUT because its failed previously,  I would stick to what we know that does work  ( there may not be that advice you mentioned,  except in my responses or other responses  but its a learning day, every day )

Good. I would post one next week too, even though it'll be late. Belt & braces.

Anyway we are glad you posted again now because this month, we need you:

PLEASE bookmark this thread below and do the government's Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet.

Their proposals are wrong. We must stop them.

    See this thread: -

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-8-weeks-from-11th-july-2025/p1

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.

So to try to help, I've written some guidance on that thread.

Any questions on the Consultation please ask - on the dedicated thread - but I've covered up to question 20 already in that first post, openly telling everyone what I'm going to put and/or what sort of evidence you might wish to use for your response, if you agree with what we'll be saying from our experience.

Whilst your answers must of course be your own, there are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people may not think of without our guidance because we see cases every day and we know the legal background.

However, people like you have lived & breathed the intimidation, greed and unfairness first hand so your voice is needed!

Hi, software developer here - it's due to inefficient PDF generating code in apps and on websites, or people inserting images/photos into their source document without compressing them down for document/email use (you can do this in MS Office apps).

I'd recommend using a site such as "iLovePDF" to compress and optimise a PDF file first, it's free to use and has lots of conversion and utility tools for working with PDF files #NotSponsored
