Hello I applied for a Barclaycard and a few hours later it said application successfull via email, told me my credit rating and says card and pin will arrive within 9 days… is that 100 percent guarantee that I been accepted as they have said they willl be sending me the card in 9 days.. anyone ever had this and then not got the card sent thanks

I would assume that is indeed successful.

I would say it's successful unless it's your birthday  in the first week of May.

I don’t know I hear of people getting credit and making orders for catalogues ect and the order getting cancelled after being accepted..

They run application anti-fraud checks but these are usually real time or overnight batch jobs. 
However, any credit provider can reduce your credit limit, suspend or close your credit account on demand.
