It was well fine beanie 😀

Shopping came to £36.75 and should hopefully do us until payday on Friday.

OH suggested a different walk so we could pick some brambles if they were ready. Picked enough to make a fool for pudding tonight. Lots still not quite ripe yet so plan to go back another time.

Allotment pickings today were beetroot, peas, cucumber, courgette and tomato. Have made beetroot and feta dip again for work lunches which I'll have with cucumber and pitta bread. Peas have been shelled and popped in the freezer. Got a chocolate courgette cake in the oven. So just need to figure out what to do with the tomatoes - any suggestions gratefully received as there is rather a lot.

£7.59 moved to roof debt savings from surveys/cashback.

Have made a start on next month's budget, will hopefully get it finished tomorrow.

What's next for the micro payments once the roof debt is taken care of? Looks like you're most of the way there now?

    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!

That's a good question south_coast. As we know that the roof will need more work longer term, my plan is to continue saving for the time being as would prefer not to have to go back into debt for this. However, I also want to start making overpayments to the mortgage again so will need to have a think how to balance this.

    A NSD today 🙂

Not posted for a few days as have been very busy with work. Spends were £14 on tea out with a friend and £2.30 on a couple of food items.

Payday tomorrow and had £15.94 left in the food budget so have moved that to the roof debt savings.

    Budget for September

    • £100 credit card
    • £100 emergency fund
    • £100 roof debt savings
    • £50 Christmas
    • £100 car fund
    • £200 home fund

Car fund will have just over £1000 in it, that should hopefully be plenty for MOT and insurance which are both due in November so I'll stop putting money in it for the next couple of months.

Emergency fund is on track to be £3000 by the end of the year if I keep putting in £100 a month.

£200 home fund will pay for the new dehumidifier (9% cashback on TCB) and whatever is left over along with the money I put aside last month will pay for the boiler service although still need to actually book it!

£100 roof debt savings will take that to 96% paid so target will be easily reached by next payday. Happy with this as the 0% period on the credit card doesn't run out until February next year.

Day off tomorrow and I'm going to visit a friend for the day so looking forward to that.

Ordered the dehumidifier on payday and it arrived yesterday. Still in its box but need to get it unpacked as really need to do some washing and it doesn't look to be a nice day tomorrow.

Had a nice day with my friend on Friday but quite spendy as we went for lunch, a long walk and then coffee and cake.

£13.78 cashed out from TCB and added to roof debt savings.

Not a lot to report from the last few days. Went food shopping yesterday but OH paid so a NSD for me.

Did a few surveys last night, need to get back into the habit of doing these although boring, it all adds up. £2 cashed out and added to roof debt savings.
