I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, supped two brews, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, completed Connections with two lives lost, and had my nose in my book for hours. Easing myself into the weekend.

Morning all,
An ease into the weekend here too, having decided yesterday that I wouldn’t be allotmenting today due to the forecast for showers. Naturally it is now sunny. The summer clothes which I swapped down from the loft in the week have all been tried on, sorted, washed, ironed, hung up, folded, consigned to the cs bag - any of the above. It is shocking how many are now tight. I can only conclude that it is a fatal combination of my natural greed and the lack of stress since giving up work. And most likely more of the former.Saturdailies also on the go here - wm is on, I have dusted downstairs, and about to fire up the vacuum cleaner to whizz round. Then it might be a stint in the gh. I managed to fill the green bin yesterday afternoon, with most of the huge dead shrub from the back of the garden. It is very strange how all the shrubs along that border have died since this ndn has moved in…everyone else around us is lovely. This guy is the type that moves to a village in the sticks then complains about the tractors, iyswim.
Bread is brewing for a loaf (Mr M had a nightmare with their delivery last week which meant that a couple of my bags had to go back, the poor man was very apologetic, but bread was one of the victims) which I will cook this evening when I fill the oven. DH has the treat of a pork chop after having been fed vegetarian meals all week!I think I can procrastinate a little longer by making a coffee if anyone cares to join me.5 -

Hi all
Been to work helping at an event. We didn't have a lot to do and I was paired up with a colleague who I don't know very well and she sat for most of the day on her phone ignoring me. I felt awkward, anxious and a bit fed up. Anyhow it's done and I have banked 6 hours to use as TOIL.
Came home, changed the sheets put some washing on and I am curled up on the sofa. Out for a family meal tonight so looking forward to that.
