Bedding changed, washed and on the line. Upstairs dusted after a fashion, bathroom cleaned although I have left the mirrors etc for another day. Both deliveries have finally arrived within 5 minutes of each other. Now I am waiting for a friend to arrive for a cuppa on her way to / from somewhere else locally.
Tuesday Admin hour will probably go by the board, so I’ll pick that up later in the week. DH is promising to go and cut the allotment grass. The builder has just rung to see if the electrician has done - what electrician?!
Have a lovely break, Eltee.5 -
*healing vibes* for everyone feeling under the weather. Please take extra special care of yourself if you're feeling dizzy.Just been told how much the local hospice has raised from my donations. I'm delighted with the amount, and it's gift aided, so *kerching* for all the stuff I would have had lying around, meaning to sell and never getting round to it cluttering up the place. I've played that game on and off for years and in my case its completely pointless. They're well supported here and their shops are always full of people buying stuff.Batch of kedgeree made which will be 12 breakfasts, sundeck half R0ns3@ed at last - between showers and sunshine - and phone call made to the dentist because I knew I had an appointment in late May but didn't put it in my diary when I should have. DW x 2.Things tidied, en suite dealt with.Better is good enough.5

My house smells lovely and clean, though I can't take much credit for that - K gave it a thorough spring clean today, bless her. I keep finding things that are out of place, but it doesn't take much effort to rearrange them as I want them (the top of my bedside drawers, for example - I always have the lamp pointing up to the ceiling so that I get diffused light).
While K started the cleaning, W and M had fun helping me to make scones and an orange and lemon drizzle cake, and of course they took home what we didn't eat at lunchtime. I took the girls out with Rosie this afternoon to the NT property where I used to volunteer. I was so tired that I didn't want to walk far but we got as far as the lake and back, then sat down with ice creams for the girls and 2 cups of tea for me, after which the woodland playground kept them busy until home time. I re-heated the Sunday dinner for our tea, and that also went down well. I can't remember another day when M has not had a hissy fit over something, so we are clearly making progress at last. K finished off by cleaning her car, using my hoover and my electricity, because they have a 2nd floor flat and she hasn't got an extension lead long enough to reach down to the road where she parks. The least I could do.
Tomorrow should be a quieter day. I am still coughing quite a lot so plan to do admin and sort photos for at least the morning.
GWS round and Valli xx and anyone else feeling below par.
See you tomorrow xxx5 -

Morning all xx
I'm fine now. I lost 24 hours. 🤷♀️
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with one hint, completed Wordle in six (phew!), completed Connections with no lives lost, eaten breakfast and supped a brew.
I'm feeling a bit wobbly emotionally now instead of physically ... post viral blues? But I'll be fine once I'm back in the swing of things.
Have you seen the GP about that cough iona? It seems to be lingering.
I hope Valli is OK.
Live to all.

sorry for going MIA
I'm fine
Mum's birthday yesterday so a fuss was made (pics on Facebook if you're interested) she's not well though, syrup of figs needed
It's incredible how far she has declined in such a short time.

Happy birthday to Valli's Mum.*healing vibes* for those with coughs.Strands with a couple of hints, four lines on Connections with no lives lost (very unusual), Wordle in six.Wren trundled, Belovéd picked up from the station. The wonky fruit and veg box has arrived. I need to do a price comparison to see whether it's worthwhile but apart from one tangerine the quality is very good.Final lick and polish to make sure the house is up to scratch, quick trip to Mr L for paintbrushes and milk. While I was there I realised they had restocked the champagne that Belovéd really likes which is affordable, so that found its way into my trolley.Friend has arrived to spend the night, so it's fish and chips when the chaps get back from the pub.Better is good enough.5
