Hi everyone,
It's years since I joined this thread but wondered if it would help me get organised, so I hope you don't mind me poking my nose back in!
I've recently started working full time again after almost two years off.
At home most of the day trying to tidy round and get organised while my little sidekick does her best to messy it back up again. 😵💫
We're also painting a bedroom so everything is everywhere with no home for anything.
Hopefully there's hope for the downstairs even if upstairs is chaos! 🤞7 -

Welcome back, La_escocesa!
We didn't go out this afternoon. I have spent most of the day either coughing my head off or catching up on lost sleep. But I did also slightly rearrange the things on my study shelves so that I am no longer feeling totally oppressed by the things on them, most of which I no longer want, including certain books, some fancy ornaments which are definitely not my style, and too many games and jigsaws in boxes which don't stack properly. I've managed to make a slight improvement - and, like Honey_Bear, I'm pondering where else I could stash a few things out of sight.
Off to bed soon, as I need to be up early to strip the beds, start the WM and clear off all the flat surfaces before K arrives with the girls. See you in the morning xxx6 -

KWM should be here soon
DH is off to SW6 -
Well, that’ll teach me to rely on the apprentice decorator. Yesterday i painted the skirting and 3 doorframes in the utility and small hall. Thought the paint wasn’t quite right but DH assured me it was and it was because it was one coat. Told me this morning that it was still drying, which should not have been the case. I read the tin - oil based not water based. So now I have high gloss paintwork joining onto rooms with mid sheen paint. Grrrrrr. Waiting for the paintwork to dry so that I can rub it all down myself, get the correct paint and start all over again. He still can’t see the difference in the paint….
Other flying - wm x 1 done. Some on the outside line, some drying indoors. I soaked some beans last night, so I am boiling those up whilst waiting for a parcel delivery. A friend is coming for coffee later. No sign of the electricians.
Hope all those under the weather are feeling perkier.5 -
Morning all
We're off for a short break after meeting friends tomorrow, so today will be airing, PUPA, FUPA, DW, WM, general tidying & vacuuming all over. At least it'll be nice to come home to.
See you next week, have a good one 😀

Are you OK Valli?
I went dizzy yesterday afternoon too. And I'm just coming round after sitting very still all evening, sleeping all night and then sleeping all morning. Woke up to ring in sick at 8.30 am. That's me done for the day.
