Changing balance transfer target

I applied for a new card (Card A) to pay off a balance on Card B. I provided the Card B number as my transfer target. The new card will not arrive in time and so I have  had to pay off B's balance  with a transfer to card C.

A message from Card A says that when it arrives and I verify it that will trigger the payment to Card B. But I no longer need. to make a payment to Card B.

Will the Card A people let me change my target to Card C prior to verification

Any balance transfer cards I have used ask for the target at the time of transfer.  I have not ever been asked at the time of application.  Suggest you ask the card issuer?

I've applied for cards which allow you to request the transfer during the application, it doesn't happen until approved and the card issued and activated
