Changing balance transfer target

in Credit cards
I applied for a new card (Card A) to pay off a balance on Card B. I provided the Card B number as my transfer target. The new card will not arrive in time and so I have had to pay off B's balance with a transfer to card C.
A message from Card A says that when it arrives and I verify it that will trigger the payment to Card B. But I no longer need. to make a payment to Card B.
Will the Card A people let me change my target to Card C prior to verification
Thank you for any thoughts

Any balance transfer cards I have used ask for the target at the time of transfer. I have not ever been asked at the time of application. Suggest you ask the card issuer?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
