RWG... now it's my turn :-(
Wife has had problems with RWG from the very start and has stopped using them. It was me who recommended them
as I was pretty happy with their offers and service. And until mid-March I had no problems at all... but since then the phone with my RWG SIM just doesn't auto-register anymore. This SIM has been in that phone for ages (at least two years) with never a problem but now all I get is a "No service" notification (I rebooted a couple times and I also tried in another, older phone... no joy). I can go into the Settings, Mobile Networks and switch from automatic to manual connection and if I then select Now as the provider it'll work in say 90% of cases though sometimes it just sits and does nothing. I've tried in various locations across the Southeast and Southwest and it's the same wherever I am so nothing to do with my local mast.
To make things worse, RWG CS appears to be completely uninterested. They ignore the messages I sent and I've no idea what else I could try (other than also leaving RWG which may be the best course of action... but I have one of those free 100min/100texts/750MB SIMs and still the original £15 credit
).

I think it's something to do with the original free SIMS, mine just packed up.Have you looked on your RWG account? Does it show on there?Mine didn't FWIWEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I'm afraid it's a case of you get what you pay for and if you value the number at all you might be well advised to obtain a PAC code and take it elsewhere.0

@Farway Just logged into my account and the original order and details are still there. But I assume that it's just a matter of time until this all goes up in smoke.
@Murmansk The number is unimportant but I still have the original £15 credit. Will have to think about what to do there... any RWG "fellow sufferers" out there with an idea?
And it's clear now that RWG/Now is one big No-No.

An ISP Review user was recently able to get support for RWG Mobile by using Now Mobile's live chat - maybe give them a try:

My wife and I had exactly the same problem, also with the 'Free ukrwg1' SIM. The service became so intermittent that it was unusable. After getting no response from RWG's Customer Service we decided to call time on them. We switched to Talk Mobile and ditched the old phone numbers. We have now closed both RWG accounts. Yes, we have lost the remaining value (both less than the original £15) but we still had good value over several years.0

Just an update to my previous posts. I contacted Now Mobile using quick chat and they fully reactivated the RWG SIM within seconds, together with a reminder to make a call or send a text every 90 days.

Just tried the live chat of now mobile for my other halfs RWG sim.
Took 5 mins from sim saying emergency calls only,to fully working again.
Now mobiles live chat is for sure the way to go.
No more sending e mails for her.
Or me for that matter.
Cheers for the info muffin head4
