If will show as debiting on the Tuesday. They could in theory spend the money over the bank holiday weekend. The bank won't prevent this because although they know a Standing Order is due on Tuesday, they don't know what other credits will arrive to cover any expenditure.1

Same here (for RBS). Sometimes an app alert says "Tomorrow" on a Friday for example, but it should really say "Next banking day".Rich1976 said:On my bank account it doesn’t show the standing order leaving the account until the actual day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards.
