The current £7 deal will do a family member nicely but my substituted link doesn't work. Now on £10.29 from a £5.99 deal they took out in 2024. Nothing else has gone up by 72% in 2 years.
The link I got the bpild from doesn't have plan offering ID in it but instead tariff tc ID and even substituting what I thought was the tariff code out of the U Switch link doesn't show upgrading 07xxxxxxxxx in the top corner.
Has anyone had any success with it?

Had a play with the various address substitution hacks from the HUD post (and some from elsewhere), no luck. From previous years it does seem that these, er, workarounds don't last long (either the base deal is removed or the address linkages are changed) and these posts are from late March.

If you are still wanting to explore these, er, unorthodox methods of "upgrading" an O2 deal can I suggest you revisit the latest HUD post on O2 deals (sort the comments to show latest).
Upgraded my plan from £10.50 (price after £2.50 April increase) back to £8/mth for 72GB(?).
O2 did a hard credit check.

Another 'unorthodox' deal over on HUKD -
Some URL manipulation required to get the £5 deal, and instructions but no confirmed success re using it as an upgrade.

I went onto live chat with O2. They wouldn’t match the £7 pm deal on the MSE website without me leaving and returning or changing my number. We did agree on £8 pm, which coincidentally was my previous rate. So at least I’ve saved the increase. Unfortunately, they could only do it on a 24 month contract, but I can change deals if I stick with O2, I just can’t cancel.
(It’s a 25gb contract, though I only need about 5gb)

Thanks so much for the heads up, I check here periodically but don’t think I’d have thought to check HUKD again, thinking it was a no go. £6 for 12 months and far more data than needed secured as I couldn’t find a £5 version. Link worked on the 2nd time of asking but told me I was lost the first time.

I rang o2 and got 24 month contract with low data of 2gb upgraded to 4gb via the virgin media thing…. which I dont even have a contract with …even the advisor couldnt figure that one out but I still have double the data .
First 12mths at £5 per month
Second 12mths at £7.50 and possibly the last single 24th month may be just under £10 depends if I renew in time or something but its a sneaky 3rd price increase .
Not great ….O2 give me the sh….ts….. with all this railroading its like dealing with a scam caller they are so full of slime
