Isa commission

It's not exactly helping anyone to give you feedback when everything is being drip fed out. Maybe it would help if you explain the whole story of how you came to agree this ISA with 5% commission and what exactly you've agreed to.Carmadcolin said:

There shouldn't be any charge for opening an ISA, even if there is one for subsequently purchasing investments within the wrapper, an entirely separate activity.Carmadcolin said:

It certainly sounds suspicious, so please clarify more detail about who you're dealing with - is this a proper regulated institution or some dodgy outfit found via social media?Carmadcolin said:is this a scam or normalRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -
St. James' Place? A 5% investment fee plus a small transaction fee sounds about right. If it is, you can do better elsewhere.Carmadcolin said:

You dodged a bullet there then - put your money somewhere else instead, pretty much anywhere else will be cheaper! What led you to them in the first place?Carmadcolin said:Thanks but it was more than 5% 5%on the commission as well 78 pound extra on 30k lost my custom1 -
£78 on £30,000 is nothing - 0.26%. For instance, I regularly pay 0.5% stamp duty when buying shares in investment trusts so that doesn't really faze me, it's the unnecessary 5% - £1,500 - that would put me off.Carmadcolin said:

Are you literally saying that on Friday you were unhappy at the commission on a S&S ISA so on Monday you decided instead to buy solar panels with that same £30K?Carmadcolin said:
