The best I can report for today is a STS.
(I've had a birthday and enjoyed some baklava, more than was good for me, obviously!)6 -
Hello
Weighday STS please Brambling.
I had a whoosh last Thursday and Friday and regained over the weekend. I was a bit underwhelmed with my gf hot cross bun this year but loved my dark choc bunny and a meal out 🥂I’ve enjoyed dark choc so much after giving up milk choc for Lent I will keep with that as it’s got fibre and more nutrients. I’m going to try and not eat/drink out often maybe just one or two times a month. Otherwise I’ll stick with the same plan for the next 12 weeks as I’m enjoying the food. I still need to improve my exercise situation.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

@Brambling Unfortunately I have to say +2lbs this week. Not sure why. I didn't eat any Easter eggs and I walked 10 miles on Monday.7

I was reading an article today about fat/weight loss and, in relation to counting calories, it suggested working out the number you need to aim for to lose weight and then follow a three-day rotation or wave. So you begin with a lower-calorie day, then a day at your target weight loss calories, followed by a day above your target weight loss calories. That way you are always a day or two away from a higher-calorie day, which can ease up feelings of restriction.
I think I've come across that before. Essentially it also means that having more than you need one day doesn't mean you have broken your diet and so you might as well binge. Instead it's what is happening as an average which counts. I think that averaging works for me - as of yesterday (so over 23 days), my average daily intake was 1770 calories and I've now lost one pound so far this month. So probably 1650 average would move the weight off a bit more quickly.8 -
Away from my scales, so going with STS this week. I haven't had the best couple of weeks mental health wise - just felt very anxious and not sleeping well, as my partner is having some medical tests. Plus the stomach bug thing I had took a while to get over so I've felt exhausted.
I have vaguely eaten calories in vs calories out, trying to eat plenty of fruit and veg. I have managed walks most days and starting to feel more perky now. It's just annoying that I had a spate of feeling really positive and motivated, and have just crashed.
Hope y'all have a good week and enjoy some sunshine :-)7
