I've been having a similar breakfast this week to @Pixie_Cosmo, just with a few carbs chucked in to keep the hospital quiet. As someone who does not like milk or yogurt, I've found a sugar free protein drink.... who ever knew you could get a Vimto protein drink, it also helps as I'm not a breakfast person so is a win / win for me.
Other positives, Jersey Royals are back in season (about the only carb that does not make my joints ache) although not as nice when not covered in salty butter, and Satsuma's are in season.
@Frith, I also get what you mean, nothing wrong with wanting to feel more confident, I'd probably go the whole hog if I needed, so Spanx, Frownies, and anything else to boost confidence.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Hello all, just a quick (non) update.
Things aren't too great at the mo, some very important things, some less so but still problems I could do without and (indirectly) have affected me and stopped me getting out on my walks.
So I've not weighed in - I know I'll have put on a bit - but I am checking my BP every week just to appease myself as much as anything.
Good luck to everyone here.6 -
Hurrah! Lost the 0.5 lb from last week. Time to plan, prep, batch cook and all that 😀

Going in the wrong direction thanks to an inability to stop stuffing my face!
I feel like I could of gotten away with alot more leeway when I was younger, but reach a certain age and suddenly you even sneeze at a packet of crisps you'll put weight on!5 -

Good morning. It's a STS for me please. I knew id had a few too many snacks to lose anything.
I keep buying salad things and end up throwing it away. There's only me and DH that will eat it so once dinnertime comes around I dont have the energy for more different meals so end up with the same as what the majority of the kids are having. Last night was chicken, chips (no potatoes for mash) and veg but I really should have had chicken salad.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Think this week will be a challenge! Away with work for a couple of nights - meaning buffet hotel breakfasts, lunchtime meal deals and eating out at night.
I try to eat well, but I end up eating out of my routine which throws me. E.g. breakfast at 7.30/8ish before I go into the office, rather than 9.30/10. I try to just have beans on toast, but a buffet full of tasty things is such a treat for me. So a little hash brown gets added, maybe a nice yogurt... y'know how it goes! Wish my brain would just realize I don't need all the nice food! I'm not going to fade away 😂
It's so hard to eat sensibly when I'm away from home. I try and compensate with lots of walking. Look at menus in advance for planning meals out, buy a salad rather than a sandwich for lunch etc.
I know I'm having a massive moan about my lack of willpower, but it's like my brain goes in to 'treat mode' because I'm away. I spend my whole time arguing with myself trying to justify why I deserve the nice things...(in my head! Not out loud! Not that mad yet 😂).
Urgh. Hope y'all have a fab week, well done on keeping plodding on!5 -
