hello…
crazy days here. Mum settling on her covert meds which is good. She chattered away yesterday but little of it made sense other than her telling me ‘the babies were dead’ which I think was a reference to the dolls in the buggy that she’d been pushing round the day before.
Her biland sil came down and I generously invited them to stay over at the aged ps.as I couldn’t get hold of stepdad. But it will have done him the world of good and his sil will cook and generally be helpful.

Morning xx
I feel like I've been run over by a bus. Or someone has put my head on upside down. Hopefully concentrating on doing my Saturdailies will undiscombobulate me. 🤞
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with three hints, completed Wordle in six, only managed two lines on Connections, and I've supped a brew.

(((Hugs))) Valli.I'm so sorry I haven't been contributing but I'm still dealing with my wretched email account which went t*ts up about three weeks ago. I've had to report it to the police because yesterday some nurk set up a Ladbrokes acount in my name - I occasionally buy a lottery ticket but I am not a gambler. The police were lovely, Action Fraud is brilliant and I've changed passwords on three four email accounts (dont' ask) and am not feeling confident that's the end of it. Virgin have not been brilliant, so as soon as Belovéd can change his email provider we'll be knocking that contract on the head.Anyone got any suggestions as to which is currently the best broadband provider?I very foolishly went to the garden centre with a friend for lunch on Thursday, bought some stuff, went back yesterday as I couldn't put a new birdfeeder together (square hole, round peg) which they fixed but I ended up buying quite a few plants. I have neither the spare cash until later this month, nor the space for them, but I couldn't resist. Now I have to manage them, which I don't have time for either. Self-discipline was never my strong suit.Must get the house in order. The two letting rooms are going to be occupied in a few days time and at the moment things here aren't looking smart.Better is good enough.5

I'll rest easier knowing that the Saturdailies are done. I'm having a coffee while the pots soak.

Don't overdo it Round. If you don't feel up to it, take it easy.I've washed the walls that needed washing, scrubbed the sink, loaded and run the dishwasher, given the new plants some attention in the stonking sunshine, put a gammon hock in the slow cooker, walked the dog, made Belovéd's sandwiches for the coming week with some beautiful ham, shuffled some money and prepped the veggies for tomorrow night.Strands with a lot of hints, two lines on Connections and I'm about to tackle Wordle.Better is good enough.4

Not a lot achieved here today.
DH and I went to the allotment this morning, ostensibly so that he could put up a post and I could get on. Hand holding needed, so I gave up when he was ready to go home. I’ll go again on my own tomorrow. Wm x 1 done and dried outside. Dw filters cleaned and the machine cleaned as well. Bits and bobs done in the garden. 2 buckets of sticky weed pulled out but I know that the stupidly thin roots remain so it is only a temporary fix. I have just made some sort of meal plan for the coming week - the builders should be back on Monday, fingers crossed.Off to make some sort of creation for dinner with whatever I can pull out of the fridge, plus (most likely) a tin of tomatoes.5 -
Hi all
Funny day, did my Saturday morning volunteering. Came home and cleaned the kitchen, put clean washing away and had a general tidy around. Updated my finance spreadsheets and made pizza.
I was invited out tonight but I didn't fancy it so I made my excuses, now I just need to practice not feeling bad about that.
Sunny here but cold. I have been feeling the cold very badly, apparently cold flushes are a thing when you are menopausal, who knew?

- Lovely lake swim this morning. Swim buddy loved her flower arrangement.
- Dropped in to Mr L on the way home for a paper and the remaining items to do a roast dinner when Mr N gets back from his bike rally tomorrow. It went well apparently.
- Did a flower arrangement for ndn who is taking us to the station on Wednesday. Then did another for the dining table to finish up the flowers.
- sorted out the main clothes for hols, which involved the depressing job of trying on various garments.
- moved most of the summer pots (mainly Agapanthus and fuchsia) out of the greenhouse and up to the patio which involved several wheelbarrow loads. Rearranged to make better use of the freed-up space in the greenhouse. Pricked out marigolds. Watered everything.
Sure I must have done other things but they involved a book and a conservatory ..........
