That suggests discontinuance before the 7th.

Any mention of witness statements? If not, you'd assume a deadline of 21st November.

So, I'd do nothing and await the discontinuance (they'll probably start ringing and making silly offers just before).
  • Not other than telling me what a WS needs to include, and that they need to be submitted 21 days before the hearing date which would be 14th November - assuming this would be the deadline?

Yep, so wait for the N279 discontinuation document email to arrive in your email inbox or spam folder before the 7th November

If they do pay the hearing fee   ( unlikely   ) you will have to submit your WS bundle to lawyers and court by the 14th,  as would they with you and the court

Read the NEWBIE sticky, there is a list of items that should be included along with your WS.  Some examples for format and style but NOT content are: -
@busymerchbee73@Feyla@Char27 and @aza123 includes Chan & Akande if required

Your witness statement is "in support of your defence as already filed" and therefore should be ............... in support of and back up whatever you put in your defence.  It is a narrative of what happened on the day and subsequently, written in the first person in your own words.  It happened to you so no one on here can write it for you.  Reduce the impact of anything negative and emphasise the impact of anything positive. It is also your chance to attach any evidence that you wrote about in your defence.  Read other witness statements to see what those posters wrote - particularly successful ones.

I'd email DCB Legal this weekend and give them 3 working days to supply a copy of the NoD or you'll do a witness statement and claim costs.

Then please show us a pic of the NoD so we can count your success because this won't be reaching a hearing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Not heard anything from them as of yet, but will email them now.
The email address I've got is: info@dcblegal.co.uk - is this still the best one or is there a more suitable one for this?

That is probably the best email address for them

There is a thread by ChirpyChicken giving out common contact details
  • Thanks @Gr1pr for the quick response (on a Sunday morning too!) - will update in a few days.
