£12.95 spent today on replenishing veg and cereal supplies and an easy meal of hotdogs for DH & DS to have over the weekend while I'm away. They really enjoy them and I don't so I'm happy to let them have them when I'm not there! I spotted lots of very reduced Easter eggs and have resolved to not buy any before Easter next year and just tell DS he can have the biggest one he can find in the shops on Easter Monday.
364.39/400 spent so far.11 -

I have a small spend to declare: £5.60 spent today in Sainsbugs on fresh veggies. (410g broccoli 90p, 992g carrots 68p, 1 mushroom 10p, 1.146kg sweet potatoes £1.36, 1.214kg potatoes 96p, peppers £1.60)The above brings our total spend to £165.60/£172 leaving £6.40 for the rest of the month.
@LiveSimply, I think Elsiepac is struggling to cope with running the thread on top of her regular work. It takes a lot of effort to keep on top of the Grocery Challenge and life gets in the way. If she needs an assistant, would you be able to help?

I've lost where I'm up to. I know I've had a small Aldi spend with the 8p carrots and some other bits. Will have to look for receipt as not sure if I paid cash or on my card.
Also £2 on strawberries. My granddaughter eats them by the punnet and has been staying here with me. Daughter has brought alot of stuff though with her, so not had to buy much.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Got enough in to (hopefully) have a NSD today, and maybe all weekend if I'm careful. Cant call it yet as I have two birthdays next week and goodness knows what I'll spend on feeding cake to people

A massive overspend this month £431.72. I'm not too worried as I stocked up on lamb, beef and veg, so plenty to feed us next month.

Can't find the Aldi receipt; but will keep reporting spends, even if I lose the total in the end.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Good morning All
Just popping in to say that I’ve picked up my “free” breakfast cereal from L!dl. (We crossed the £150 threshold on Wednesday with a shop with DH’s mum.)My GC spend remains at £165.60/£172 leaving £6.40 for the rest of the month.
We still need to get bananas and lactose free skimmed milk - both L!dl’s I checked were out - but we should keep within out budget this month.

Well, I came on here to confess all & despair at my inability to stick to my target, as I spent just under £140 this weekend, which made me wince when I worked it out - exact figure is at home on the kitchen table, and I'm babysitting DGS elsewhere, but it was £139.?? - but it seems that left me still just inside my target! And that's me declaring for April, as I'm off house-sitting for DS1 & family for just over a week on Monday, leaving plenty of food in for DD2 & DS3, though I will leave them some "emergency" cash too. Phew!
