Thanks @NedS
I can see this leading to a landslide of reconsiderations.
Personally I was leaning to simply not bothering with Mrs, but having read your post. I think I have to purely on length of reassessment, given no 4 pointer, despite enhanced on both parts & no hope of condition getting better. Going from 10, 10 in 2019 to 14,12 in 2024 with next review starting 2027.Life in the slow lane0 -
The changes are due to come into effect Nov 26, what isn't clear (unless I've missed it) if you request a reassessment before that date but it's decided after that date what rules will be used.

Normally when the DWP decides it time for a reassessment (current award will expire) it's the date of decision the new award starts from. When a person requests a reassessment it's from the date of asking for reassessment so the decision is backdated.
My thinking is, if a person requests a reassessment before Nov 2026, even if a decision is make after that date, it should be backdated to pre Nov 26 and use the rules that were in place then.
No doubt this will crop up, and will be interesting on how they handle it.

Applied for reassessment on the 21st March, received form two weeks later on 4th April, posted back on the 9th. On the 14th April text saying they have form, was surprised as it was only the 3rd working after posting.

Just a very brief phone call wanting me to confirm that I'm available Mon to Fri which I said I was. Said will text me with an appointment.
Seems to going much quicker than expected.

Assessment via phone 11th June, so will be under 3 months from request to assessment.

Assessment lasted hour and a quarter, I did have it recorded. Always hard to predict but seem friendly and actually had a laugh ( I treat most stuff as a joke).
One thing I only just noticed, my last award I overscored for mobility, not that it matters as with correct points still would be 22.

Had a call from the DWP this afternoon, asking when changes happened if before March for backdating reasons if my award changes. I told them Nov 24, nothing further asked and called ended.

Following my review I now have Enhanced for both.Daily living from 9 points to 17; Mobility from 24 to 12
The award is for an ongoing period with just the comment "I decided to award you PIP for a longer time"
It's backdate from when I requested the reassessment in March it makes the phone call puzzling.
