Did RBS also have the same switching offer available? I switched 18 March but it’s doesn’t seem to be on their website anymore

    My switch completed last week.
Pay went in today, so easily have way more than the required £1250 for 24hrs.  Couple of direct debits due out tomorrow, and have used the app.

Switched from Lloyds and the ISA I had with them is still there, accessible via their app.
Had a few emails regarding "apply for this, apply for that" etc. since.  Practically nothing whilst i had a current account with them.

That’s good how long between incentives?

No. Switched this time round and met other elements of the criteria, but no incentive bonus payment and not going to bother chasing cos I know I don't qualify.

    How does NatWest fare?

Been with Lloyds for years now and no major issues.  Haven't been offered anything for years now.

Have a Monzo card and use that account for day to day things with Lloyds for salary and direct debit only.

I've a NatWest credit card that works really well for me - good interest rate, no FX fees etc.

Tempted just to jump ship as other than familiarity, there's nothing holding me back.

£150 is tempting, but are there any issues with the bank itself?
I e. downtime, payment issues etc

I switched last Christmas and all going well until this week. I needed to move some cash around to feed flexible ISAs and was caught out by their payment limits even though you are supposed to be able to make higher payments as a one off using the app.

Trying to actually squeak to somebody was a farce and I gave up in the end.

I'll be switching to a bank where you can just pick up the phone and speak to somebody.

Payment limits can be altered in online banking in Paymnts and Transfer tab. You have to be registered for biometrics or have a card reader.

The limit is £2000 then resets at 6:30pm, just by default
As DasTechniker said you can change it in the app just using the security settings, no need to ring up the bank or switch when you can do it yourself in seconds

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
