Hi Guys.
More hm soup today, although it's the last of it so will have to have a think tonight, I'm thinking I might make some Pasta sauce and bring it warm in my flask to add to some cold pasta.
So:
Mon - £0.00
Tues- £0.00
That's good!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
I think it's a fine line between buying things in specially for lunch or using what you already have out of your grocery budget, isn't it?!
I have decided if i buy it with my other regular food shopping then i won't count it, but obviously if i go out at lunchtime and buy it specially then i will name and shame.
I need to get more organised!!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Another no spend day for me! Quite enjoying being all organised in the morning (how sad am I?)
Mon 7/1 £0 - cuppa soup, bread & fruit
Tue 8/1 £0 - quiche (leftover from last night) salad & fruit0 -
Great news for me - we're finally getting a mircowave at work. I'll be able to heat up any remains from 'last night's tea' and will be even less likely to spend!
I've been so well prepared this week though -getting up early to heat up soup for my flask, peeling Kiwi fruit the night before. I'm like a new person!
Pretty pleased that my only bad day so far was one day last week. What is this? Day 5? Probably already saved £15 ish.Lightbulb moment Oct 2007

Hello everybody! Pasta from home again today for me, and enjoying it as much as yesterday.
That's great news about the microwave Cassie - really increases your options now!
I know exactly what you mean Maz - I went to the supermarket last night and spent about £10 on stuff for a veg soup to make tonight and stuff to go in the cupboard so that if there's nothing fresh in, then I still have no excuse to buy lunch out... It is a BIT cheaper than buying stuff on the day I suppose...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Woohoo, no spend today. im not being very good though as just grabbing things in the morning and not preparing.
Must have saved about £15 - £20 so far!£2 Savers club £0/£150

My goodnes, the pressure! I slept in this morning and still had DS and my lunches to make. So, 18 mins till the bus came I dressed, washed and dried hair, packed DS lunchbag and threw enough items in my bag for later construction. But I did it :T
Monday - £0 - Sandwiches & ham &tomatoes, Irn Bru, crisps, Shortbread
Tuesday - £0 - Sandwiches & ham and Philly, Irn Bru, crisps
This is an excellent idea for a challenge so well done Cassie. We're all behind it!Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
Took in a beef casserole for the microwave today that was lurking at the back of my fridge
wasn't particularly nice though and I spent 50p on a chocolate crispy cake to take the taste away
Tomorrow (and friday) is my day off, I am going to buy lunch at work (£2) as ds has cooked dinners at school on those days so I will toso in total I will be spending £4 a week on my lunches and £4 a week on his. I know this is still quite high but its cheaper than doing it everyday which would cost £10 each a week
Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000
Mortgage Overpayments Pot £9470
