Why don't you PM WSHoldings as he says in his posting ~ its worth a try, as he/she may do something about it ~ I know, I'm ever the optomist, but like to give people a chance to rectify things ~ if they generally don't know what is going on ~

Watch out for these lot. Quite a few of us have received phone calls after entering their last comp. I'll find the thread.......
    ...this is one of them.

I cant believe anyone would consider entering their comps after reading this.
Why say its a comp if you have to pay for it first
  • I took a risk and entered and, lo and behold, had a phonecall this afternoon despite my having opted-out :( . Howver, in fairness, the lady who called was very polite, wasn't pushy and said she'd enter me in the comp even though I didn't want a salesperson to quote me.

If you win you have to pay the cost of the windows up front and then once installed they will reimburse you!!!
Well that is what the bloke said to us last month after he came out to tell us we had won. We politely told him where to go.

They almost got us with this one,we may still get the salesman charged with fraud.
We were told we were the lucky winners of the feature home promo and had had been chosen to recieve 100% of the purchase price back.No misunderstandings,we were not told you may get some money back but that we were getting the full price back so the windows were totally free, the salesman was a liar and a conman. His manager and another man at the Glasgow branch also backed up the salesman so they are all con merchants. The salesman told us the payment was to be deferred until the prize cheque had been sent to us,so no up front payments either. He tried to tell us about the finance option but we insisted that we were not interested in that and had him tick the cash payment option(just to complete the order form he said but no money was ever to be paid). So we placed the order on the understanding that it was all free and lo and behold,5 days later we get a phone call from GE Capital, weatherseals finance providers,to confirm the details of the finance agreement weatherseal had forwarded to them. The salesman has tried to forge a finance agreement!!!So we cancelled our free windows which were not actually free at all and are still having trouble with Weatherseal.

Blimey this company are DREADFUL !
I entered the last comp, duly ticked the 'do not contact' box and promptly got a sales call from them....the guy was really rude.

And did we ever hear about a winner for the conservatory ? I'll eat my very large hat if someone genuinely won that conservatory:rotfl:

Perhaps WSHoldings (weathersealholdings perhaps?) can enlighten us as to the winner of the conservatory comp ?

I am trying to lose this company as well after a 2 hour demo.

If you want more independent views re them click on

    http://www.blagger.com/db4/company_id/2920/companyname/Weatherseal-Windows.html

It is an interesting site with loads of complainants, ex/sacked staff, staff who still work for them and some happy customers (who I note one person challenged as being staff in disguise).
It gives a lot of info into their sales"techniques" and also about how they use competition information as well.

Happy reading!!! Although it is a bit of shame really as the product itself looks really good just the sales and aftercare that is a shambles.

    As one poster says
    MY ADVICE

  • Some people are getting confused with the different promotions. The online Competition is completely different to the Feature Home promotion that anyone on the street can enter. I realise that most of the comments on the forum regarding Weatherseal are negative - after all the forum is here so that people can share their experiences they have with us, although I am sure you will agree that the silent vast majority of the public are very happy with the company (98% satisfaction). I aam an honest person and I have already invited anyone who is not happy with Weatherseal to message me and I promise to investigate. If you do not wish to receive further communication from us after entering the competition please message me. I am dismayed to read about the unfortunate experience the lady had in Glasgow who 'thought' she had won free windows during a visit from a rep that would have been confirmed with the branch prior to the visit that we were coming round to give a free quote. If the rep/manager/regional misrepresented our Company then it will be investigated. We pride ourselves on good customer service and 45 years in business tells you that in the main, we are a good company to deal with. Each quarter we will, and that is a promise!, give one person, who visits our competition page www.weatherseal.co.uk/competition.php a £10,000 free installation. Not a refund, or a cash back, but a free installation. You may believe it or not but I am sure you can still take a man on his word in this day and age, and I give you my word. Good Luck to all and remember feel free to message.

    Kind regards

    WSHoldings.

Re WS Holding comment about 45 years in business, according to the blagger.com site your firm went into Liquidation in October 2006.
