Thanks Elli and Skinty:kisses3:
I am afraid my alcohol freeness starts today:D
One little bit of good news I have.......
MIL rang at dinner time yesterday and asked us to call over as she had a gift she wanted to give us.
We popped over and she had some money that she wanted to share between her 2 children (my OH and his sister) so she passed an envelope and asked us to send a cheque for half the amout to sister..........
The envelope contained...................£2200:eek::eek::eek:
I think I am still in shock......she had this money lying around the house and was worried about what to do with it, she said that she would get the most pleasure from it by giving it to her family, gobsmacked I am.But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Just checked Quidco and £26.95 has been paid today which brings my total neutral money pot to £186.11.
OH's part of the money has burned a hole in his hand never mind his pocket and he has bought an external hard drive and Ipod.
I have ended up with £400 as my share, I actually feel a bit daunted at the thought of spending money on myselfBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Enjoy the money, whatever you decide to do with it treat yourself!0

What a lovely dilemma Lou! Why not stick it in savings until you see something you really want? or keep it for repairs to the "no-poo loo":p...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
Mortgage balance: £36,210

Its snowing again and has been all day............very inconvenient I must say:rolleyes:
All decorations are down and put away by DS's:A
Nothing much to report moneywise today except for buying a new bed for DS1. I am going to put his spacesaver bedframe with futon on Ebay, even if we get £20 I will be grateful for not having to dispose of it ourselves:o
Treadmill will also be listed in local paper today. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Now that the dust had settled after Christmas and all the banking is up to date I can work out just how much I can send off to the mortgage, I really need to send off £700 but I just know that I havent got it this month unless I put my share of MIL's present towards it...........
Needs must I guess:o Its the holiday savings that is really slowing me down but that will be paid for by May and then the task will be slightly easier. I am not asking for sympathy by the way:rotfl:
At the moment I cannot think of anything that I would like for myself so I am going to write a cheque out for £700 and once the holiday is paid for I can take the £400 back:DBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
