I have come to lurk here too ! XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Well the snow has fallen and we are snowed in the street, we are very rural so the half mile lane that is the only way in or out of the street is too dangerous to attempt (steep hill).
Had planned to take MIL out for Sunday lunch but had to cancel.
Today I will be doing some home baking and preparing for the Christmas festivities.
List for today............- Wrap presents
- deliver cards to neighbours
- make rocky road squares (Nigella's recipe)
- Clear Ironing pile
- vacuum throughout (OH likes to do this;))
- Get OH to ring Orange to sort out phone and broadband
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hmmm
Didn't get on as well as we should have done, OH has STILL not rang Orange (he is the king of procrastination) neither has the vacuuming been done so I shall leave a note for the boys to do it tomorrow;)
I did some of the ironing so there is only about half a basket left now but after being ill last week I am still low on energy.
Home baking went well, Rocky road squares are lovely but very rich:D
I also managed to grab a sly £21.50 from a Coral Bingo deal;) that will go straight in the Present neutral fund for 2010:T Also there is around £40 quidco money pending and an Amazon sale of £11 on its way so that pot is building up nicely already.
I must wrap up a couple of presents now then start preparing some lunch to take into work tomorrow, only 1 full day left to go:jBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Yah to only one full day to go

It is absolutely freeeeeezing out there, slightly worried about attempting the steep bank out of the lane but I shall just close my eyes and put my foot down. OH managed to get out OK so if he can then I can:D
Payday tomorrow so I shall have to be extra careful not to overspend otherwise January will be very bleak:o
Made lunch to take into work and I have some herbal tea bags so no need to use the vending machines so a NSD today for me. OH has taken £1.25 for his drinks as they are not allowed to make their own:mad:
Still waiting for 2 parcels to arrive and then Chrismas is all sorted:T except for the fact that I STILL havent wrapped a thing.
Catch you all later. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Another sub Zero start to the day, snow has frozen solid now:snow_grin
The condense pipe leading out of the house from the new boiler is keep freezing up and the boiler safety cut out is kicking in, OH and DS1 managed to defrost it the last couple of nights but it froze up again just before bedtime last night.
Very worrying problem as the pipe has now been lagged but it obviously hasnt worked, not sure what to do from this point in until the weather gets milder. Thankfully we have a gas fire and a couple of portable heaters to use in the meantime.
OH received a £20 gift voucher for Asda from work which will go towards the neutral presents pot and today lunch is provided from my employer so I shall have plenty to eat so I dont need a big dinner;)
By 12.00 I shall be finished work and my Christmas can begin properly:jBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
