    Just a quick update from me as there have been some changes since I last posted.

    I have an interview on Friday for a 0.75 lecters position which means that I will have yet another change in wages if I get the job.

    I have completely closed my business down to avoid me becoming ill:o

    Still managing to make the regular overpayments and am on target for my goal for this year..........so far.

    Still doing mystery shopping and I am now concentrating on reducing my electricity and gas consumption...........I have bought a Remoska cooker and I havent used my oven since (1 month).

    I will definitely be back at the end of the month with a full update:D
    But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    Well I have managed to secure the new job at a 0.8 contract which means I have a Tuesday off:j

    My income has now changed to the following (Net amounts)

    Salary = £1100

    CB + FTC's = £160

    Total Income = £1260

    Financial Commitments

    Stocks & Shares ISA = £300
    kids regular saver = £80
    Other savings/Xmas/holidays/car maintenance etc = £305

    Total Financial commitments = £685

    Surplus = £575

    I have decided to keep the overpayments at a level of £350 per month which still leaves me £225 for other emergencies/savings.

    Any extra money from Mystery Shops will be added to this amount.

    For any new readers my OH's salary pays for all family expenses, Mortgage standard payment, DDs, Food etc incase you thought that I was living on fresh air:D

    I have let my spending diary lapse the last few months (minor meltdown):o but intend to get back on tracks on 1st October as we approach the final 3 months of the year. I am not convinced that OH's salary is covering all other expenses:rolleyes: as i seem to be drawing money from my account on a regular basis.

  • Hi LouiseJ,

    Nice to see you're back and well done with the job news. :j

    Can be difficult at times balancing a diary, kids and real life - I went a bit quiet for a while too!

    OK everyone, this is not easy for me to say but unfortunally I will have to ditch the mortgage overpayments for at least 1 year:o

    Sometimes life throws you a curve ball and things are taken out of your hands.

    This thread is officially "ON HOLD"

    I wish you all the very best in your overpayment quests. Take care everyone :kisses3:

    Sorry to hear things are on hold, just looked at your thread for the first time in a month and you drop that bombshell. Hope things are ok. Remoska cooker eh? Been doing some reading up on these yesterday, are they as good as a lot of people claim?
