at the "helping myself" stage!

Its a stage I've been going through for 25 years :rotfl:

Try the likes of Aldi or LIDL for biscuits, Aldi's Oaties are up there with Hob Nobs, well after the first packet or two they are.;)

I am really cross as my March overpyment cheque sent on the 25th March has not appeared on my mortgage statement and has not cleared my bank either. I posted it on the day before Good Friday so it should have been processed by now.

A&L claim that they have not received it so I will have to ring my bank on Monday and cancel the cheque and send another one. Luckily I do not have a limit on the amount that I can overpay as in effect I will now be making two overpayment in April.

Just a bit disappointed that March statement is only showing an overpayment of £40 on the DD from OH payrise in January.

    Grrrrr!!

I can only make overpayments via cheque or in the branch so I suppose the odd cheque could get lost in the post/A&L office.

I may have to consider paying a visit to the branch once a month to make my overpaymet but it is 12 miles away so not very MSE once I pay for petrol and parking.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I always send mine recorded delivery, which is by no means guaranteed to get there but at least there is a tracking mechanism.

I tried paying in at the branch once but the look of confusion on their faces meant it was never to be repeated ;)

    Hello everyone who follows

I went into the personell office today to opt into the teachers pension scheme and was ready to read them the riot act when the produced a document I had signed when I started working for them in 2000 stating that at the moment I do not want to be part of the pesion scheme.

I cant remember signing it but it doesnt surprise me as I was somewhat a different person back then and would have seen my pension contribution as money I could have spent in Next:rotfl:

Never mind I am in it now but at the age of 35 I am really starting it late but the employer contributions are excellent and its a final salary scheme which I believe are really good so I have to be thankful for that.

On another note I have eventually got my head around the matched betting and have since Saturday made the figure that is in my Signature. This is a culmination of Quidco signups and recouping free bet incentives via matched betting. Not bad and that is only from 2 bookies!

There is definately money to be made. Just wasnt brave enough to take the plunge but really glad I have.:D

Will be sending a cheque off soon for March and April as the cheque I sent for March overpayment was not recieved by A&L so I had to cancel the cheque. I was really dissapointed to not see an overpayment on my mortgage statement apart from the £40 increase in the DD.

Have an interview for next Tuesday for the 0.5 post and am getting a bit nervous already.

    Hello back!

Pension. I'm in a final salary pension scheme too. Yes, they're meant to be good. Good stuff for joining - better late than never.

Overpayment. I guess you can't overpay on-line? I tend to overpay online - convenience and the fact that you can overpay by bizarre amounts without branch staff looking at you like you've lost the plot - I thought 351.97 was a perfectly sensible amount to overpay by when I was in the branch last week.

Interview. Last interview I had was for an internal promotion - got interviewed by my manager. It's so hard to get interviewed by someone you know - well at least I think so. Hope it goes well.

I'm so pleased that I can pay online too! It's not unheard of for me to overpay by as little as £1.01 if that's what I have available!
Feeling frustrated at the moment because I'm waiting around for my mortgage statement but it's not arrived yet! Never mind- onwards and downwards.

    Hello Kaz and FB:hello:

It is a right pain that I cannot pay online and view my mortgage statement.

When I asked A&L if there were any plans to make this facility available to customers the girl on the phone said "No you cant view your mortgage account onlline due to the data protection act" I asked her what she meant and she replied "It just goes against the data protection act":rotfl: And these people are dealing with our money:eek:

I will send my next payment by registered post although I begrudge paying the extra postage:mad:

FB I told my OH recently about my online diary and he was fine about it, and said "if it helps me retire from that bl00dy place early then do what you want"

I am having a bit of a frett about this interview tomorrow as I have never had an interview in my life:eek: Not bad going at age 35:rotfl: I have always been offered jobs in the past so this will be a totally new experience for me.

Its at 11.00am so send me good vibes everyone. The initial drop in income with throw me a bit but I will get paid holidays and less travelling expenses so it will even itself out over time. We will have to see if I get the job first.

Still Mystery shopping but not much around at the moment.
