I will be of bying lots of pink things. Having 2 sons this is a different experience for me....cant wait to see her. SIL had a C section so I think we will wait until she comes out of hospital before our tribe visits.
Arent babies lovely (just as long as its not me having them)! But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Just been to see baby Neve, she is gorgeous and slept the whole time, I also took a little prezzie for 22month Neice so she didn't feel left out.But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0

Get your Sis in law to check your brother each night before going to bed. My brother was caught, by his wife, using earplugs at night. Explains how he got a good nights sleep every night for the first month.0

Honestly,I can't beleive what has now transpired.
At a meeting today all the P/T hourly paid lecturers were told that we are going to be put on permanent contracts soon.
So basically the job I applied for and worried over could now be irrelevant as I will be getting a long awaited permanent contract for the job I am already doing. Only thing is I dont know what I will be offered yet as it will be based on my average teaching hours over a 3 year period which I recon will be about 16 hours + 4 hours prep time, so in theory it could be better that the post I applied for on Friday.
I have to be careful though as I need an offer in writing not just a guesstimate from my line manager which is what I will be receiving shortly. I just want to know where I am asap!
What I am afraid of happening is that they stall my contract until September and then I may be given a contract based on the hours then, which could be low.
Just have to play the old waiting game:mad:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hope it all turns out ok:rolleyes:0

Hello everyone
Still have not heard anything about either of the contract jobs so will let you know when I have any news.
Managed to get my overpayment off this month and am on track for April overpayment.
I have been so busy with work that my business is being neglected and I have missed someones VAT return, which is not me at all!
Need to make a decision soon as to whether I should reduce the size of the business by knocking it down to a few of the easier clients as some are more trouble that they are worth.
I cannot carry on the way I have been lately as things are starting to slip and its been getting me down and dont want to end up depressed which if I am honest is the way I'm heading. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Ok, that’s it!
Enough of feeling sorry for myself and time to roll up the sleeves again.
Got up early and did a couple of hours work for the business which makes me less behind with the clients. I am off out in an hour or two as some still owe me money so will go visiting. The problem has been since I started getting behind with the work the old, if I hide away, they will leave me alone thing…but no more as it just makes things worse, I am going to get on top of everything and keep it that way!
I have decided to not take on any new clients for the time being and will phase out some of the more troublesome ones over the next few months.
Tomorrow I will complete the late VAT return so if anyone sees me on here you have my permission to tell me to get back to work.
Just having a cuppa and am about to look at my spending diary against my budget for March and read the electric meter, surely we cant have used as much as last month!
Will be back soon! But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
