That post was longer than his previous post regarding charging an EV!
Spot the ICE-er who can't conceive of any alternative. 🙄Jenni x4 -
Or the EV driver who thinks EVs are the answer to everything0

Where is that person? If you think it's me then you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm not an EVangelist (to use the phrasing of some YouTubers who are full of BS), I'm a realist. An EV suits me completely; it won't suit everyone.
If you have off-street parking and your travel profile fits the average driver then an EV can be the answer. (And EV range is improving year on year, thus opening them up as an option to a wider group). But if you can't, and/or have to rely on public rapid charging, and/or drive 100s of miles per day, then the option becomes less attractive.
The problem is the people so entrenched in the concept and idea of ICE vehicles that they can't conceive of any alternative.Jenni x5 -
I never mentioned you but everytime anything is said about EVs compared to ICE cars all we keep getting told is how good they are and how bad ICE cars are which is ridiculous

While I think EVs are getting better I don't think they are as good as a ICE cars yet0

Whereas I much prefer how an EV drives ... I had an ICE Corsa for a few weeks (whilst my MG4 was being repaired after Storm Eowyn caused damage) and it was horrible - the noise and vibration .... ugh!Jenni x7

In what way?
A car is a device to get you from A2B.
Both EV & ICE are more than capable of doing this 🤷♀️
After that it is personal choice. Just the same as some are happy in a old banger & others only want a luxury car 👍& some people want to get there as fast as they can & other are happy to take as long as it takes 👍Life in the slow lane3 -

I can't think of a single ICE car that could do that mileage at a cost of just £50/month in 'fuel' and little to no maintenance costs outside of tyres, whilst boosting 0-60 performance figures of 2.6seconds...
As someone that used to run a decent supercharged 3.0 V6, I know how expensive it is to run an ICE without getting close to those performance figures on a daily basis, both in terms of fuel and maintenance. The cost to run an ICE for the sake of engine noise and slightly more convenience on the 2-3 long journeys I do a year (although drove to Scotland in back in my EV and had no problems whatsoever...) is a very hard sell for me and why I don't consider ICE anymore.6 -
..comparing apples and pears really. Whether you prefer either is totally dependant on your driving profile. If we ever decided to get rid of our "fun car", and we still needed 2 cars I would have one of each......"It's everybody's fault but mine...."1
