Just received this txt today, I didn't think that they could enforce things like this.
That is far and away the funniest and most obvious scam text I've seen in a long while!

    Hilarious rubbish!

    You surely spotted it?

We don't even spell programme as 'program', nor licence as 'license' in this country (nor do we spell 'ise' verbs with a z) and there's no such thing as a 'violation'.

     :D  :D

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well I've logged on to BW Legal, and since I submitted my letter, which was 2 weeks ago all it says is this account is on hold.
  • Hi, looking for advice on avoiding paying a "dropping off / picking in a restricted area" at Newcastle Airport please. I drove into the training academy car park at the back of the airport next to the hire car area to drop someone off for training, turned round and drove back out, not parking once and they've sent me a fine.
I've seen the message saying "check the NEWBIES" but I can't see the NEWBIES, if someone could help please?

I know it's been a while now. I've just logged in to my account with BW legal, and its still saying, this account is on hold. It's been 2 months now since I submitted my appeal letter. Is this normal and do they have a time limit to deal with these things.

Sometimes no claim form follows if they were only instructed to do a set of threatograms!

Anyway I'm glad you posted. Just 10 days to go to do the government's Public Consultation. Please do this on or before 5th September (end of next week)!

    See this thread: -

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-8-weeks-from-11th-july-2025/p1

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious and you may not be that familiar with the worst conduct of this scam industry, we get that. It doesn't matter - no knowledge is needed - you are living snd breathing this greedy jumped up intimidation and can call out a scam industry with our help, and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance on that thread. Almost all questions now have ideas for what to say if you agree with our stance. Please read the thread and get cracking.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please!
