Debt, Diet and Decluttering - The Lifetime Diary

Does anyone else get the urge to sort every single issue in their life at the same time, get totally overwhelmed then bury their head in the sand or is that just me?
I can't just focus on one thing at a time, my brain will not allow it so here I am again tackling the following;
I've written down all my payments for the year to pay off the CC. I'll pay extra as and when I can to see if I can get rid of that any sooner but right now I'm on target to be PIF by December 2025.
For the mortgage I'll just pay that monthly but aim to make an overpayment at some point between now and end of the year. I pay £342.00 a month so would like to make an overpayment of at least £684.00 - I have no reason for this amount but its on paper now so I'm sticking with it.
Last time I weighed I was 16st 1lbs - so quite a bit to lose but this will also help out on the financial side because I keep Just Eat in business - so bad! Really need to rein that in.
The house, well I really really really struggle to keep on top of household chores so that it builds up to the point I need to deep clean everywhere and honestly its just draining me emotionally.
I know everyone says that if you do something for so many weeks it forms a habit but not for my brain - I can't do that so everything seems like a massive task but I digress - still going to try!
I shall also be more active on here and not let this diary slip like the ones before.
So daily posting even if I have nothing really to post about!
Also seen a challenge for PAD - Payment a day, now I love the sound of that but I was thinking something more achievable for me would be PAW - Payment a week - also love dogs so this just sits better with me.
Might set up a challenge, I can pay to debt, mortgage then when that's all paid off I can add to savings.
I can't wait to have savings!

Just closed 3 CC accounts;
- Tesco
- MBNA
- Virgin
Until I'm out of debt and have an emergency fund I feel like I need to have something there as a back up.
Just need to stop using them for unnecessary spends!Saving for Christmas 2025 - £312/£7301 -
Hi I would set your mortgage DD to £350 then you are overpaying each month. It may be little, but it all helps. V x3

Oh that's an idea! Didn't even know I could do that. I'll have a look into it on the app now.

All done! From March I will be overpaying my mortgage.
Only £8 a month but still steps in the right direction.Saving for Christmas 2025 - £312/£7303 -
Your opening sentence is me to a tee! I'm also terrible for picking up my phone and an hour later still not doing the thing I went on for. I'm also terrible at household chores, and keeping my MSE diary updated!
Mine's probably undiagnosed ADHD.
Good luck in your journey, well done for updating your mortgage DD, every little helps.MFW - Original balance 28/08/2014 £52850Original MF date: 2049:eek: Aiming for: 2025 Current MFD: 2030

Good luck Dolly. I found having some alternatives for takeaways really helped. So keeping a few things in the freezer for when i cba to cook (those fancy fresh pasta things are a winner). Or putting jacket pots in the oven earlier on the day if I know we’ll be late home and tempted. We also do “fakeaway night” so supermarket pizza or Indian ready meal once a week. It’s slightly cheaper than ordering in and slightly less fattening (do not team it up with ice cream!) but still feels like a treat. It does become a routine. My partner and I were in a habit of takeaway/eating out 2 or 3 times a week and we’re down to once or twice a month now.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

@bubblycrazy - I'm almost 100% sure mine is undiagnosed ADHD too. My sister is keeps telling me I am the poster child for it.@vampirotoothus - I'm with Nationwide so it let me change it via a link on the mobile app.@powerspowers - Yeah that's what I need to do! I'm so unorganised which doesn't help so end up starving and just ordering in.Saving for Christmas 2025 - £312/£7301
