Good afternoon,
My list for today

Pick up meds from the vets
Do paid stuff

Take the dog for a long walk
Do some training with the dog
Go out for a meal with DH, long time since we had a date night so it will be a nice change and a much needed break from work/revision
Only a short list for me today but I think that is everything I need to get done today. I hope everyone has a lovely Friday.

Morning everyone. It's very quiet on here. I hope all is ok.
I got the lurgy this week so no flying here. Tried to carry on with paid stuff but gave in yesterday. So today will be more resting.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all xx
Weeeeekeeeennnd woot woot 😊.
I was shattered and in bed by 9 last night. Which meant I was awake well before 6 this morning. Completed the puzzles in bed: no hints needed for Strands, one life lost on Connections, and got Wordle in four. Then I got up, made my bed, supped my first brew and read a few chapters of my book.

Community psychiatric nurse came out Thursday to assess mum; things were said which resulted in the crisis team being called out so things are now being monitored. I’ve viewed another home, which is a nursing home, was very pleased and it’s now top of the list. But the aim, currently, is to keep her safe at home.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all.

I'm up, have taken my meds and done Wordle, Strands and Connections, though not spectacularly well.
I've already finished off some half-baked bread rolls in the air fryer/mini-oven, ready to slice and top with ham or pate for a bring-and-share lunch - we've got a cleaning morning at church, and K was saying that she wouldn't have time to make up something for lunch *and* clean, so I said if she would do my cleaning, I would make their contribution to lunch! I will also take a duster and fluffy-thingy-onna-stick with me, just to show willing. We currently have lots of cobwebs decorating the wooden chairs.
My piles of print-outs of the ancestral records are still not properly sorted into proven families and then by date, but are in a slightly more ordered state than they were at the beginning of the week. I really must sort what I've got before allowing myself to be distracted into doing any more research!
DH took me out for lunch at the nice GC yesterday. The beer-battered cod and chips (well, it was Friday! - and I only ate half the chips) followed by a slice of ginger cake filled me up so much that I didn't eat anything else for the rest of the day, so I'm counting that as a small win and hope the scales are kind to me on Monday.
Have a good weekend, Flyfriends xxx8 -
Morning all,
I’ve been on sentry duty in the WAC again, so it’s been a slow start. That coupled with the dreary rain that is forecast for the whole day, it looks as if I’ll be confined to barracks.
But I had a nice couple of hours yesterday meeting up with ex-work colleagues for a chat and a catch up. 2 birthday cards made and written, so that’s February sorted (note to self - check for any March birthdays).
First job today is to WUDUPA, as I broke my own rule and didn’t do it last night. There isn’t very much at all, so I’m not beating myself up. The wm is twirling, I cleared the small ironing pile yesterday. I might spend some time fathoming out a new to me dressmaking pattern later - I am practising it on an old sheet before cutting into the fabric, which itself is leftover from a last year project. Working at my mahoosive stash, one stitch at a time. DH wants me to book the ferry for our annual trip to visit friends in La Belle France, so I need to start looking into that sharpish.OK, washing up it is. I took advantage of Round’s filled kettle, so shall procrastinate no more.7 -

I am wondering if his 'chip' is further down his neck than the other 2 cats, as he seens to need to get his whole head in the tunnel first, then it clicks open, where as the other two just put their head in a little bit and it clicks open.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
