Here you go!
We’ve still received a letter with a hearing date (13.08.25) and asking for evidence, do you think it’s just overlapped? As court letter is dated 19th June.I have emailed the court and sent the above letter, asking this but they haven’t replied.1 -
You better contact them again, phone them up and check if the hearing is vacated ( check if the hearing fee was paid too )
Ps, it doesn't matter what WE think, it matters what the court believes to be the case1 -
Yes, as you are a Litigant in Person, a person defending a claim against you, you are expected to deal with both the court and also the claimant ( or their lawyers )
You have emailed the lawyers, DCB Legal, so phone the court and ask questions1 -
Thanks- got through and they confirmed it has been discontinued and we won’t be receiving any more letters!! Woohoo!!!!3

Yet again my Notification from @Gr1pr failed, but the one from @Coupon-mad came through. 🤷♂️
Anyway, thank you @Joanna244 for the copy of your NoD. I can now get this counted in the DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

We will discuss this more over the coming weeks but IMHO the two vital policy matters are:
- to BAN debt recovery fees completely, making the industry pay for the dubious they 'service' of third party letters (or keep cases in house and follow the pre-action phase themselves, like several PPCs already do)
- to bring in a new and independent Single Appeals Service (funded by the industry) to replace POPLA and especially the IAS which MUST be banned.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
