    What type of heaters are you using (make and model)?
    What is the name of your electricity tariff and what are the rates?

    Hi Everyone,

    .................... Our bills have been around the £150 mark a month.;;;;;;;;;;;;;
    I presume you mean a DD towards the cost rather than an invoice.

    Are all these DD's shown on your bills?   If yes you have paid 5? lots of £180  -   is the £2700 on top of this ?

    Considering it didn't even start to get cold until November last year, 11000kWh seems crazy and impossible for 3 winter months. That's almost 2 years worth of electricity in my all electric detached bungalow with E7 storage heaters. Are you sure you are reading the correct meter?

    I think you should do the meter sanity test check as mentioned above by @Gerry1

    I would receive an invoice every month for £150-200. That would always get paid now on top of all those payments they want £2,700. I don’t pay by direct debit I just make a payment every month incase something like this was to happen which it has

    I had to send pictures of my meter and checked that against my first bill and current one and they are correct

    ...we turn all the lights off and make sure not to use energy when not needed.
    Lights are not high usage devices, especially if LEDs. Room and water heating are the biggies.
    Do you have an instantaneous electric shower?   They are extremely expensive to run, especially if you have Economy 7 because the daytime rate is even more expensive than single rate.

    Can you have a 2nd look at your meter please ?  There should be a sticker on it when it was installed -  what date is on it and was the quoted reading 00000.0 ?

    In addition to your panel heaters is there any underfloor in the kitchen or bathroom?

    Is this a new flat / conversion ?

    Not instantaneous it used water from the immersion heater. When we run out we don’t have any hot water in the shower.  No underfloor heating either just the usual appliances

    They're not expensive if only used 10 mins a day. Or even 30 mins. A 10 KW shower would use 5 units in 30 mins, OP appears to be using over 70 units a day. Average of about 3Kw. That would imply something high power is on all the time, eg an immersion heater, electric heater etc. An immersion heater would only be on all the time if water was being used constantly, eg a leak in the hot water system/hot water tap being left on etc.

    Either that or a faulty meter. Or a diverted supply to next door's cannabis loft!

    OP - check the meter usage now, it'll have flashes or a dial showing current usage. Check it with everything major switched off eg heaters/immersion heater, and see if usage is still high.
