Apparently RAW Therapy (an even more complex free alternative to Darktable) will function in plugin mode with the current version of Gimp but I have not tested that myself.0 -

I'll just throw in here that the AI-powered photo editing powers now available on posh Samsung (and other) phones is a thing of wonder - and probably a complete anathema to anyone who wants to have maximum control over their pixels.0
