I defo prefer the ducklings to slugs!!!! We had one when I was a student and we never caught the thing.

Have you done any more planting recently?

    Me too @LzzyIsGod !

I think I've sown some random seeds from old packets just to see if they grew and if not they were being used up anyway. I am too scared to plant any of my lettuce or pea seedlings out because I know they'll be eaten by slugs and I'll be very sad. They're not doing much in the conservatory though so I need to be brave. I need to sow my cucumber seeds asap. I like growing little ones as it's just me. I've got one mini munch seed left I think (my favourite) and a new packet of a new mini variety to try.

Although I'm still terrified the ducklings will die due to my own ineptitude they've survived the night, are eating and drinking and lively. They're a lovely distraction from work

I've put myself in quarantine @RhiBi I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I'm glad I decided to wfh on Tuesday or I could have taken the whole team out.

Well I've saved quite a bit on food and fuel this week! The ducklings have survived so far, though I had to order stuff for them from amuzun because I couldn't leave the house to go to the much cheaper local farm shop. I had to postpone my electrician coming to fix my shower, but hopefully he can come next week.

Now that I've hit my 4k goal on my NW2 credit card I will change all the CC direct debits to £100 each, just for the sake of ease. I've been reducing the other two to just over the minimal amount and increasing the NW2 payments so they still add up to £300. The minimum payment on NW1 is about £65, NW2 £40, and LLoyds £102 (I'll pay the odd couple of pound separately).

My credit report is now showing that I haven't opened any new accounts in 6 months, and my score has gone up a little bit more so I should be fine to get a balance transfer card in June/July. I need to transfer all of NW2 (about £3,800) and if possible I'd like to transfer as much of NW1 on to it as allowed. That 0% interest doesn't end until October but I'm trying to get it down to one less card. If I can't transfer the whole amount (about £6,100) I'll transfer as much as possible and then focus on clearing the bit that's left by October. Then the £300 a month can be split between the two remaining credit cards.

I'll go for the longest I can get with 0 fee.

I'm hoping to get the total credit card balances down to £10k by the end of the year, but I really want to focus on paying my loan down again as that's where the interest is charged.

I'm also intending on increasing my pension contributions again, to use up the 3% annual payrise I just got. I really need to look into pensions a bit more later this year as I know my work pension is crap, but at least I'm finally paying into something.

I think that's all I have to report for now. I'm just trying to rest, recover, and decontaminate my house 😆

pensions is something I really need to look into I don’t understand them at all. I didn’t work for about 12 years so won’t get a full pension so need to see what I need to do. I read about it but it makes no sense! I need someone to tell me what I should be doing!
