Wow, that is a lovely surprise and a great way to start the new month. You are doing really well with your debt reduction and this payrise will just give you a bit of a buffer which is very welcome atm with the way everything is going up.

Thanks everyone ❤️
In other brilliant news, after an absolutely bonkers day in work (full moon anyone?) I decided to do my monthly totals to cheer myself up. I am gobsmacked.
In January '25 I owed about £36k, January '26 about £28,500. At the start of March I owed about £27k, and today I owed a little over £25k. I've paid over a grand off credit cards this month, and around 11k off my debts in total!
I know it's still a lot (and I haven't included my student loan or mortgage) but 25k feels totally different to 36k!
I have also saved a months worth of outgoings in my emergency fund (£1,750)
Time to change my signature!

That is absolutely corking, you should be very proud of yourself. Those are entirely different numbers in terms of what can be achieved, and how soon 🥂

Well done, you should be really proud of your efforts. The change in those figures is just insane.

Well done, what a brilliant reduction. £25k certainly sounds a lot more do-able than £36k. Fantastic 👏
