The opposite happened to me yesterday, decided last minute to get some before I drove to work and it was 20p a litre more expensive near work so I was very glad I did. It definitely pays to keep your eyes peeled at the moment!
In brighter news, a relative has just put a few hundred into my account! Woohoo! I am grateful, but especially grateful for the timing!

I've done my weekly finances, now the gift from the relative meant it wasn't so grim. I need to remember that I'm still ahead of schedule of reducing my debt by an average of 500 a month, I'm about 1k ahead of schedule.
I am feeling the need to simplify things though, it's good to have money in different pots and maximise the benefits to some degree, but now I've listed a few things out I want to simplify them. I think after the next draw I'm going to use the bit of money I'd stored in the PBs and the gift money to pay extra off the credit card and loan. My emergency fund is currently spread over 6 places and that's a lot to keep hold of in my head.
I'll have a proper look tomorrow and make some final decisions ahead of payday and the PB draw (still convinced I'm going to win 20k and then I can make different decisions).
In the meantime I have paid an extra 200 off a credit card and 200 off my loan.

It sounds like you are making fantastic progress! I agree about simplifying things. Everyone is different, but for me I started to feel the benefit of my money when I focused more simply on one target at a time while maintaining my sinking funds.

I am now pretty much overdraft free. I'm leaving a £50 buffer for now (interest free), but not planning on using it or thinking about it. My wages are paid on different days at the end of the month and I still have a few things that come out at the end of the month so I want to have a little bit in case of brain fog related emergencies 😆
But mentally, nope, no overdraft, all gone, the balance I see is the amount I have to work with. Done

After a few months I totally forgot I had an OD facility (bit like I've forgotten I have CCs wirh available balances on them). It's like your brain retrains to just seeing the actual balance.
I do still love a fantasy PB win. I run through scenarios of "what would I do with X amount. What would I do with Y amount" It'll.never happen but atleast I tried manifesting it

you are making really good progress - well done on the overdraft

The amount doesn't really change @LzzyIsGod , pretty much always 20k that I'm sure I'll win. Which is strange as I don't think they actually have a 20k prize 😂 I guess I'll see how they do it next week.
Thanks @FootyFanDan for the nudges with the overdraft!

Simplifying is always a good idea, we can be as smart and organised as we like on a good day but it only takes one tired/hormonal/grumpy day and an error scuppers the whole ecosystem!
Brilliant news on the pay from relative, big congrats on the overdraft clearance and extra payments 🥂

I had a lie in today and when I got up I cooked my lamb to perfection (accidentally, absolutely not a skill of mine). I've had 2 lovely meals from it so far. I used fresh rosemary from the garden. I can start using fresh chives and mint this week too.
I've planted some more seeds, hopefully these don't get wrecked by the chickens, even when they make it out in to the garden.
I paid the other bit of corporation tax I owed, a whole 3p. I managed to start the process of closing down my old business. I've had an email to say there's a problem with one of the things I submitted to HMRC though. I have limits for how much time I can spend on that site, so I will have another look tomorrow. It feels never ending.
I had left money for potential tax/charges in my business account, but then I read that when the business closes any money in the account goes to the crown. I've moved the money to my personal account, I'll use it to pay a bit off a debt, and then if I have to pay HMRC later in the year I'll just add it to the debt that needs to be paid. If I do owe anything it should only be a few pound. I haven't done anything with the business for 2 years so should be fine.
I've celebrated my success with a bottle of red wine and bar of orange chocolate.
