I've just updated my outgoings spreadsheet and it's telling me I can spare an extra £190 each month. I don't seem to have any money left at the end of the month and I've been doing a second job to help out. I was hoping to get another job to bring in about £200 a month so if I can figure out where that is going and stop it, I don't really need to get another second job.
My wages do fluctuate each month, so I have to be careful that I have chosen a sensible amount, or the lowest amount I'm likely to get each month so that I don't leave myself short.
I don't think I'll do anything hasty, but I will keep thinking about it over the next few weeks and try to figure out if I have forgotten some things. I also need to start factoring in annual things like MOT/car service/chimney sweep/boiler service/dog injections etc.
I think I'll start listing that stuff while I think about it.
    Lots to think about!!

I don't want to tempt fate but... I fixed the washing machine (for now), I fixed the first fault on the boiler and it fixed the second one itself (I do still need to get it serviced though), and my car was getting fixed at the garage today and cost me..... £60!!! I was expecting to pay around £200! So I still have £200 in my emergency fund.
I sorted the fine letter out, it was a thing that wasn't relevant for me so I had ignored it but they were threatening the fine if I didn't exempt myself and explain myself this week.
I paid and extra £15 off a credit card because I had been really careful with money this week in anticipation of big bills.
    Wooohhooooo!!!!
That's all fantastic - what a great result!

It sounds like a positive result all round! You are doing so well, the challenges you have overcome so far might have knocked many others off course.

Thanks @FootyFanDan that's very kind of you.
I've had a few blips but I figure as long as I'm doing better than this time last year I'm doing ok.
