What a day! I try not to do much before 10am but today I was in my car by 6.45am. I got back at around 6.15pm. 8 hours of driving for 4hours of a meeting. I left early so I could get home before dark. I'm exhausted and I have another 4ish hours of driving tomorrow.
In other news I've ordered my first big shop of the month, to be delivered on Saturday. I've also transferred another 250 from the regular saver to the roof loan.
2633 - 250 = 2383 left to pay.

The home life shenanigans continue, even though I've not been there this week. Police informed. I've had a chat with a neighbour about the strange access laws we have in our street and they've given me some good ideas to make my home safer.
They did warn that some options could cost a few thousand but I'd be doubling or tripling my mortgage if I moved house so that would still work out much cheaper. I'll need to do a bit more research but I feel a bit better now I know I have some options. Being able to use my back garden next summer and knowing my pets are safe would be priceless. We shall see.
It's annoying that I have to consider all this but I'm so grateful that I can. A year or two ago it would have been out of the question. This job might be wiping me out on a regular basis but the pay increase means I've massively decreased my debts and have now I have more options.

Bejesus Rhyd, I'm so sorry your neighbours are still being such utter psychos. That's fantastic you got some new ideas for improving the situation though, and you should be very blimmin pleased with yourself that you've put yourself in a position where it's possible to implement them 🥂

Productive day so far!
I had a bit of a lie in (much needed). The new chooks went out into the garden for a few hours to acclimatise (sectioned off from the existing flock). Downstairs bathroom cleaned. Tortoise bathed while the bathroom was vacant.
Coops cleaned. Duck paddling pool scrubbed.
Mystery meal taken out of the freezer for tea. Just need to scrub myself and take the white dog training.
Lots of indoor cleaning to do when I get back, and I just realised I haven't done my weekly finance check.
ETA - I feel so much more at ease when I know I've given each of my animals care and attention.
