Imagine how horrific the clean up would have been if it hadn't been valeted first? That might be the very best 70 quid you've spent this year. Honestly.
One of my rescue pups used to come back from the vets after his shots and wait until the house was in sight before throwing up in between the front seats and all over the gearstick. You'd think after the first time I'd have learned. And yet.
Feeling your pain. I hope the drink was a double.

@Mands I poured a single but then poured another.
I made it to payday! Doing my money shift around today as I'll be in holiday mode tomorrow. I am still writing down what money is coming in and what I intend to spend it on/pay off each month as soon as I get my payslip. It's making me feel more organised and intentional.
I have quite a bit to spend on myself and the house this month for my motivation recharge. I'm already counting my car valet. I had a colleague in my car today and I will be giving people a lift to the airport tomorrow. It was very nice getting into a clean car this morning and not berating myself about the state of it. With the extra funds this month and what's already in the house fund I should have about £200 to spend on the house. Drain clearing is currently the front runner as my sinks have blocked up this week (it's all a regular occurrence).
I'm having a bit of money to spend on my weekend away too, so I'm not counting pennies and worrying. It should be a relatively cheap weekend but it will be nice not to worry and any not spent can be put to good use when I'm back.

Have a lovely break!

I'm back. Much fun was had. Not too much money was spent. 3 days of food, drinks, alcohol, and airport transfers both ways.… £92! I could easily spend that from home on a weekend, but I got to spend it in the sun, in a private villa, with friends.
Today I will be mostly trying to figure out what DDs and regular payments have gone out and which I need to do manually, topping up the pots etc.
I will report back with figures and maybe an updated signature later

I spent £42 on 4h in London meeting up with my family today so this is incredible! 🫣 (although £19 was on new books for my grandchildren so it’s not as horrendous as it sounds…?!?!?! Is it?!?!)

It is pretty amazing how cheap it works out, it was the same last year. Because there are around 10 of us we go to the supermarket and stock up then split the cost. That's partly why I try so hard to go, it's relatively stress free and cheap but a much needed break/bit of fun.
None of my DDs for my credit cards have gone out, possibly due to the bank holiday but also possibly because I changed the date and I think that messed it up a few months ago too. The deadlines were today so I've yet again cancelled the DDs and made manual payments. It's such a pain in the R's.
I've just tried to install the Bcard app and get my new balance transfer card activated, but I can't because the PIN hasn't arrived yet. It's only been 10 days I suppose 🙄I really want to do the BT and close the stupid NW cards! I have miscalculated though as I thought I'd got the total of the two NW cards down to 10k, but it's actually 10,100. Slightly annoying but handily they gave me a 12k limit so I can still transfer them both on to it.
My current calculations say I paid 991.40 off my debts last month. If I'd known that before the end of the month I'd have scraped together the 8.60 to round it up.
I've had many naps today, I am not feeling my best, but I have dealt with all the animals and put a wash on.
My big shop will be delivered any minute.
Signature udapted!
