I believe they never stop bombarding you with offers for stuff you don't want or need.
So I won't click that link just in case they follow me somehow.
Call me old-fashioned but I'll keep shopping the tried and trusted way.

But anyway you can get the same thing more cheaply here: wincdkey.com/product/microsoft-office-365-pro-lifetime-account-5-devices/
Just seems too good to be true - therefore difficult to not to be suspicious.
Microsoft can't possibly be OK with it - so is it even legal ?
Please show some proof that it's genuine and above board.
Anyway, what has wincdkey got to do with groupon ?1 -
carolinecarrots said:Despite their website (and yours) explaining how to downgrade to classic..... it won't work for those who pay through Apple Store.... its this legal? I have just spent 2 hours live "chatting" to Microsoft and they say because I use this payment method the offer is not available (nor visible after cancelling auto-renew).
The fact is, Office was bundled free when I bought my desktop (Mac) and when they started charging a sub (not happy but obviously it was legally allowed...?), the proposed payment method was Apple Store...so not my fault that's how I pay. Surely a business cannot make an offer only available to those paying via a certain method? or indeed automatically charge for an unwanted product enhancement without offering the chance to stay as you are? I use Excel every day on Desktop for my freelance job, rarely Word and never powerpoint... I have an Excel sub paid E54.99 a year now it seems E89.99...... arghhhh! seems nothing I can do but to rebuy it (it expires 28/02) at the new price - how is this fair or even legal?!!
https://softwaresupply.net/product-category/cheap-microsoft-office/mac/office-2024-license-mac/ Supported until October the 8th 2029. £100 with discount code.
You can buy the 2021 version; https://softwaresupply.net/product-category/cheap-microsoft-office/mac/office-2021-license-mac/ but support runs out for that on October 13th 2026. £48 for just over nineteen months. It will keep working after that, it just won't be officially supported.
YEAR20 promo code
You can buy Office 365 suites that are guaranteed for a year, for less than £10. Though I would not use the storage component, in case the account needs to be replaced.
You can then uninstall the old software and install the new. Your files should be intact. Though in the case of choosing the cheap 365 option, it will likely be a case of signing out of the old details and signing in with the new, as opposed to uninstalling anything.

If you are paying less than £10 per annum, you can divert some of your savings to a back up solution. You can use the storage supplied, but have a second back up, just in case.0 -

There was no word of recommendation, only an illustration that you can get the same thing cheaper. Would I buy it? Not for a business or to store anything critical, as I wouldn't expect it to be enduring, at that price. But for simply using the applications and if I only had £2 to spare
Though personally, I would go for an long term Office licence.0 -
As many have said, keeping the classic version isn't possible.. only Basic for £20 (web versions only). This despite me spending 4 hours now live chatting and emailing with MS woefully customer service. I will bite bullet and buy a lifetime Office 2024 I think, but try to find it cheaper on Amazon etc than MS £119.99 price0

Finally went to the App Store and found how to cancel the subscription. It only says "if you cancel this subscription, your service will end on April 11. confirm or not now. I didn't get the option to choose 'classic'. Has that option gone or just me? Thanks!!0

Well that explains it!
Thank you so much for your reply! I cancelled it, see Amazon has it somewhat cheaper, but im hesitant to purchase as I'm rumblings in the reviews that 365 isn't compatible with IPAD, which hasn't been my experience in the past. thanks again!

Most of us here, I think, are talking about a MS 365 application for a Windows PC or laptop.
You get classic offered by doing it thro' a MS account , not an app store.0
