Although I am a light user of Word and Excel (locally installed so no ongoing cost) I have often wondered what people use ms365 with subscription for. Can someone enlighten me?0

For me, that's more difficult to replicate than Excel, etc.0 -
I too recommend getting a licence key from Amazon when on offer. Also the months stack, so I am currently paid up until March 2028!
Also I have turned off Auto renew, and I don't have a payment method on my MS account.0 -
Does anyone know if the 'Classic' plan comes with the option to use the Microsoft Workplace Discount Programme (Previously the Home Use Programme) as it previously did?0

Does this apply to M365 Business Basic?0

I have a 30% discount through a workplace scheme, so I was only paying £42/year. My new price is £59.49, but when I try to downgrade to Classic it shows the full price of £59.99 so effectively I can't downgrade0

Also, I have used Outlook (Classic, as now titled) for years and have loads of archived emails so switching to anything else would be a real pain.
And if you have the subscription on a Microsoft account you can get one-to-one help if you desperately need it.
At 80 years of age, grappling with anything new is very unappealing.1
