Long and tiring day yesterday but I got most of the errands out of the house done that were becoming urgent, plus dropping off the last four boxes, one stack of storage boxes and two pictures to the CS. I still have two more to do but it's raining, tomorrow it won't be and they're both relatively close by and straightforward so I won't procrastinate over them.Part of the reason for decluttering was that I couldn't see the wood for the trees. I have a couple of bras that aren't that comfortable, but found a vest with a kind of built in shelf thing at the back of the drawer, unused, still with tags on it, no idea when I bought it and so I tried it on. Wow! It's hoicks up the boobies and feels like a comfortable glove, size 14, Tu, so it was an impulse purchase some time ago. So yesterday I treated myself to a session in M&$ trying on their equivalents. I am now a Size 18. This has come as a very, very big shock. When I saw myself sideways on in the mirror I absolutely know that the sizing is correct. I need to do something about this. I've decided to go sugarfree for Lent to see if that helps but I'm not holding out a lot of hope for that as a quick fix. I've known for some years I was gaining weight but at 5'4" I can't carry that kind of flubbage without it having an effect on my joints so this is a health thing, not a vanity thing. I hope that helps with the willpower. I do not want jabs. I just want to curb by addiction to sugar and chocolate. Fly away flubbage. (Round, you're an inspiration.)Given that all the activity yesterday resulted in 10,824 steps (4.2 miles) I need to not do much physically today or I'll be useless for the rest of the week so I'm going to do some paperwork that needs clearing and then declutter links, bookmarks, emails and computer files. I'm hoping to get up to the full 2,500 items by the end of the month. Digital clutter is still clutter and impacts my brain and thoughts therefore, in my mind, counts.I'll walk the dog when it stops raining.Better is good enough.9

It's taken most of the day to get it all done - I decided to make a good job of it, as if I were doing it for someone else. I took my time (crevices😬🤢) and had a couple of breaks. Am feeling smug now.
Vacuuming downstairs ✔️will be after I've had this coffee ☕️✔️ - biscuit anyone?

At least 425 emails, and two folders I forgot to look in first, and 110 Bookmarks. I've also filed a lot of emails so when I need to find them I'll know where to look. The job isn't finished but the computer is a lot less cluttered than it was. This job may take some time.

Not done a lot of flying today but went for a lovely walk with a friend who has recently moved to the area and hadn't walked around the grounds of NT property where I volunteer. She came in free with me and was wowed how beautiful it is. Nice walk and a cuppa on a gorgeous sunny day was good for the soul. Sheets were on the line while I was out and are mostly dry. Draped over doors upstairs finishing off. This afternoon I've done battle with the buildings insurance. Annoyed that I didn't renew when I checked rates last week as it's gone up £25 since then. There was a much cheaper quote, but they required sight of paperwork relating to some remedial work done to the property 35 years ago, that just doesn't exist, so had to go with a more expensive quote. Still a little bit cheaper than the renewal I was sent, and £38 cashback to come through Topcashback Compare. After that I've vacuumed the stairs, which is one of my least favourite jobs, so it's a bit better than it was.Make £2025 in 2025

MorningSo farWM done ,stuff in TDCleared up general stuffFire sorted, ash out, logs in, made more kindlingSwept up the floor from mud.Bins done.It seems the guttering down pipe has fallen into the water butt (700L) I can see it as the water is clear, I used the rake, to try to grap it and pull it up, how ever all that did as result with me having a wet glove, and arm of jackets, so I forgot where the water was, stuck my arm in to grap the pipe as I pulled it up, missed so pipe is still in water butt, so today is round 2, no too sure what will be different today, except draining some of the water out.The sun is trying to get out!Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

@kazwookie do you know someone with a litterpicker? They are really useful for grabbing hold of stuff, as well as picking litter.

Will have a whizz round the bedroom later. Sheets were changed on Sunday so don't need to do that. One thing I have done is put some mould cleaner on the silicon along the window sill where it's got black mould growing in it. I used to use the foam stuff in the white bottle with the yellow label (can't remember the name, maybe HG), but came across Mould Magic on a Facebook ad from Must Have Ideas. Was a bit sceptical, but it's brilliant stuff. Not cheap, but very good. It's a gel so clings really well to vertical surfaces. Got the mouldy sealant in the shower sparkly white again. I ran out half way across the window so need to order some more.

A beautifully clear dawn (yes, I saw it!) and sunrise here today, and now bright sunshine in a glorious blue sky is forecast to stay with us until after 4pm. It's well above freezing point, so methinks it's a day for a spot of gardening, especially as my pain is well under control atm
I shall need to leave myself enough energy for a walk with Rosie later, so won't push myself too far, but it would be nice to do some tidying up and hopefully get the remaining bulbs planted out at last!!!! At least I can see where other bulbs are coming up now. Our first crocuses are in flower
Yesterday I did a lot of recording of information about the ancestors from all the certificates I have amassed, and sorted the certificates into family groups.
So far today I have
- done financial admin and opened a new savings account at an excellent rate with a local building society, so it's limited to certain Midlands postcodes - happy to pass on details if anyone thinks they might be eligible [very MSE, but it doesn't appear on Martin's lists]
- checked the diary
- got cooked mince out of the freezer for a hot lunch, and we'll have a picky tea between my two evening commitments
- FUPA clean washing
- DH emptied the DW and put most things away; I did the rest
- S&S'd kitchen
- thrown out dead daffs from kitchen and replaced with half the bunch from the DR table that I had bought yesterday
- showered, dressed, S&S'd bathroom
- flown BR level 1
I hope round is OK - counting down the hours until the end of the working week? x
Kaz, that water must have been very cold!
Honey_Bear, I need to join you in the decluttering of chubbage - my dog-walking coat is very difficult to do up!
Eltee, take care of your back x
Would Fayolle or anyone else care to join me in a coffee before I go out to play?
Hope everyone has a good day xxx8 -
