Well done @Eltee and @HoneyBear
I Have read the meters and input the readings and updated my bank account spreadsheet.
WM and TD, was towels etc so dried and folded.
More magazines checked - and the article I particularly wanted to find and keep has been found. It's about 'functional exercises' so I can get up from the ground etc. I do 10 squats every morning and they have made a massive difference to my ability to bend down and pick things up. Now to add in more exercises...

eltee's new 🐸frogmella🐸 quest The Shelves of Shame located in the spare room, 3 of them about 6ft long, overfull with books and random stuff. I've been 'starting on it this week' for about 5 years - fed up with putting this off so am giving myself 3 weeks (a week per shelf 📚) starting today 😱.
Am out for the rest of today, so will have another go tomorrow.

Am out for the rest of today, so will have another go tomorrow.I am!The last lot of marmalade didn't set - setting point is not 104.5° as Pam 'The Jam' Corbyn says, it is a round 105° so I've reboiled that and repotted it. As it was Seville orange marmalade following her recipe with demerera sugar - all of it will be gifted. Far too sweet for us. Back go granulated and another lot prepped for boiling up tomorrow.Wren walked, all her dirty laundry has been through the WM and I'll peg it out as we have two dry days due. Been up to the attic with Belovéd; he's found the cannon balls he's been looking for, we've decluttered a massive suitcase and a grip-type bag, and I've found the OS Map a friend wanted me to check to see if the house she grew up in is on it, at the end of a runway - her father was an RAF pilot. I've been trying to find the box of maps for 18 months and was so thrilled when I finally unearthed it while decluttering. Then I'm making a batch of kedgeree with some very dull frozen salmon fillets so that I've got some protein-rich breakfasts for the next few days.Better is good enough.6 -

Although I have a jam thermometer I rarely use it - I get a 'rolling boil' going for AT LEAST 10 minutes then test for set. I do time the boil.
I have been 'plumbing' - I have adjusted the cold water flow to the shower unit in the hope of having hotter showers. This involved poking under the bath having removed the panel. WHY DO BUILDERS AND PLUMBERS LEAVE RUBBISH UNDER FLOORBOARDS/BATHS? So a bit of actual flying too.

Thanks Valli. I've had problems with Seville orange marmalade in the past and so I bought a Th3m@pen which has reduced my failure rate substantially. I could never get the hang of keeping the saucer dry enough for the crinkle test to work properly. I use the pen to check meat temperatures too and I love it now that I've got it.Flying-wise - the second bag of Demerara sugar has been delcuttered to a neighbour who takes brown sugar in his coffee, so that was a bit of decluttering that won't count in the figures but at least I've got another thing out of the house.Better is good enough.7

This morning I S&S'd the kitchen, then hoovered and mopped the kitchen floor. The Dy50n ran out of charge before I had finished in the LR, as last time he used it DH plugged it in but hadn't checked that the charger was actually switched on - DOH!
Anyway, it's his birthday, so I wasn't too cross with him. He had some lovely cards and a couple of book presents, and we went out for lunch to the arboretum. Before booking a table I had checked their website: it stated that they do a carvery on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays*. Got there to find that there was no carvery - big disappointment. [We expressed our disappointment to the counter staff, and showed them the *webpage, so they're going to get it changed.] However, the "special" on the menu today was lamb pie, and very good it was too, so we didn't feel at all deprived. DH followed that up with an Eton mess sundae, while I had ice cream with chocolate brownie and salted caramel sauce on a Belgian waffle. We are both far too full to think about having any supper!
It's not exactly the ideal way for me to start decluttering chubbage, but it had to be done. I'll start recording on Monday because round gets on the scales then and will nudge me.
Meanwhile Rosie went out for a nice long walk with L, and is now keeping me company since DH has (predictably) gone to war games club. I'm staying with the ancestors, sorting Wills and BMD certificates. One day I will get all my piles of family history paperwork sorted, as too the photos.
Have a great weekend! xxx7 -
@ionafan - I have been sayign I will get my family history organized for 65 years now. I almost get there and then new families pop up to be done. I'd like to get organized soon so I won't leave a mess for the younger family members.8

Morning all xx
Finally it's February! January has sooo many days doesn't it? At least 100 methinks!
Wide awake and up at 6. Of course I was. Been shattered all week. Falling asleep in my chair at 7pm, woken by the alarm at 7am. Today I could sleep the clock round if I so wished. But no. Up at 6. I needed a brew.
So. I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with no lives lost, and I'm enjoying said brew.
Oh, and I've emptied the bins, put new bin bags in, and knotted bags are at the back door waiting to go out.

Shower
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing

Love to all.

i can’t start the washing until DH has given me his, as I haven’t got a full load myself.
Enjoy the weekend xxx7 -
Morning. Hope you're all ok. February at last.
I will be joining in at losing chubbage. I lost one stone and one pound between September and Xmas but nothing since then, although we do still have Xmas treats! As I'm no longer regularly babysitting for a year I don't have ANY plans this weekend so will probably try to chill as much as possible after a nightmare week at the paid stuff. And I normally love my job. It's other people really, isn't it?
Wordle in three, connections with no lives lost, strands with no hints. Good start to the day. Letter boxed solved in five.
Calendar updated for February. There's not a lot on it but we will have a new grandson.
Flying today will probably just be basics.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8
